New player trying to get to grips with Quickdraw.
1) Pilot Card reads:
Once per round, when you lose a shield token, you may perform a primary weapon attack.
Does my rear arc count as a Primary Weapon?
2) The title card Special Ops Training reads:
When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc, you may roll 1 additional attack die. If you do not, you may perform an additional attack from your auxiliary firing arc.
With QD, say I have a ship in my rear arc and nothing at all in my front arc... am I allowed to fire ONLY using my rear arc, if I can't shoot at all with my front arc beforehand?
Cheers
Quickdraw
1. Yes, your rear arc still count as your primary weapon, and still counts for things being 'inside your arc'
2. Yes, you can choose to attack using just your rear arc. It is a single attack using 2 dice (Or 3 if you target is at range 1).
Also worth mentioning that when you lose a shield you can shoot at ANYTHING in your arcs. It doesn't have to be a return shot at whatever fired at you. It can be a wonderful disincentive to park at range 1 of a nearly dead ship.
I've lost count of the amount of times opponents have just chosen not to shoot at all. She is my favourite pilot and ship at the moment.
