Check Tibs' statistics. It should give you an idea on how strong they are.

Here's the stats report sheet:

spreadsheets.google.com/ccc

In case you instead are asking which AOs are hardest because you don't know which AOs are from which expansion:

Dunwich
Hardest overall: Abhoth (46% loss)
Hardest to win final combat: Tsathoggua (98% loss; hardest AO to fight that can be beatenAzathoth cannot be beaten)

Kingsport
Hardest overall: Atlach-Nacha (61%; highest of all AOs currently)
Hardest to win final combat: Atlach-Nacha (85%)

Innsmouth
Hardest overall: Zhar (60%; second place)
Hardest to win final combat: Cthugha (94%; second hardest to fight that can be beaten)

A new stats report will be done on Mar 1, so keep an eye out!

Really? I'd have thought Quachil Uttaus would be harder in final combat.

So would I. But a couple people have taken him down, and even one player specifically went in as Joe Diamond alone specifically to clue-shotgun him. It worked.

::Laughter:: so it's not that he's easier, it's just that players have a tendency to stock up on ammo to kill him out of spite.

Right, I think that a couple groups saw Q-U as a challenge and rushed to prove he can be beaten. Stenun beat him with all the right things going for him, and some anonymous submitter cheesed him with Joe and clues. For shame!

Faugn can't be clue shotgunned. Or must be precisely done so. I've had him wake once and we didn't stand a chance. Of course, if you use all of your clues, he eats you. Nasty, that elephant, but not much of a game effect either. I consider him similar to Azathoth.

Today we tried to beat Chaugnar, with Dagon & Hydra as Heralds. A difficult game, with a terrible start (Mythos phase zero: a gate opens at the Exoteric order of Dagon. Mythos phase zero - second card: a gate opens at Devil reef. A cultist emerges from the OW through this gate, moves into the vortex, DOR +1, TT +1, -1 clues to everybody) and a nightmarish series of terrible cards (three rumors to pass, and some nasty Mithos like Streets are flooded or the one giving all monsters the ability Overwhelming).

The doom track of the AO advanced slowly, thanks to 2 Eltdawn shards, 1 Elder sign and the killing of Barnabas Marsh; nevertheless we weren't able to seal the AO. A game burst removed the 5th seal on the board, the round before we could seal the 6th gate, and this happened twice. Chaugnar awoke and in a couple of rounds we were turned to dust. Impressive. A massacre. We'll try again next sunday, I hope

Yes, Cthugha is a surprise on the AO's chart. I was burnt in his fire on Saturday gran_risa.gif (so he proved to me his strong position on the list, hahaha)

Tibs, I'm not anymous submittergui%C3%B1o.gif (I hope so). Did Stenun kill QU with KWcluepersealrule limit? How he did it?

Patrice + Clue-whoring from what I recall.

Even "random with special rules" seems a pretty awesome draw, with Sealing the Beast's Power thrown into the mix as well. Shocking Norman Withers didn't get randomly drawn...

Huh. For some reason I thought that entry was anonymous. Unless there's more than one 1p Joe Diamond combat win that I'm aware of (which would be sad).
