So if I wanted to put “ambush” on an exhaustable support or upgrade in play, can that be done? Is tapping “playing” a card?
sorry... feels newbish to me, and I’m 80% that’s it’s no, but it’s pretty tough to find a rules forum anywhere and we have a Fett deck in our club that needs to know.
Playing a card is the act of taking it from your hand and paying its' cost. What you are trying to use it on is either resolving a dice or performing a card action.
All this starts on p13 of the rulebook and is then explained in more detail on p14.
ACTIONS (p13):
Actions are taken by a player whenever it is their turn. On a player’s turn, they must take an action or pass. The different actions are listed below and described in detail on the following page:
Sadly you can't give activating a support ambush. You could Swiftness into Partnership and pay the 1 for another action, netting two actions while activating a character and a support.
