Which do you all prefer? I feel autoblaster takes a little more planning and skillfull flying where TLT is a safe and effective weapon at a justifiable cost. Both have similar payoffs with TLT edging out by striping action tokens

A lot depends on the build and how you fly. "In your face" play almost calls for the ABT while the TLT is good for that R3 plunking. The TLT is also good vs high agility arc dodgers, except for the R1 donut hole.

I like TLT on pilots like Kyle, whose ability allows for him to skirt the edges of combat while still buffing squadmates.
Though on Palob, his ability is range 1-2, so a closer turret is better for me, particularly with a little repositioning via Vectored Thrusters.

It of course comes down to the list and your own personal playstyle.

I prefer to fly lists with AutoBlaster turret in them given the choice.

If a ship has TLT it's going to be it's primary weapon.

Autoblasters can be especially good on ships that have their own firepower - though it's important to realise that if you have the points sloshing around, TLT is one of the better upgrades in the game, flat.

I prefere Autoblaster Turret anytime!

When there are lots of high agility ships with ATs, and the ATs are the important part, then ABT might have the edge if you either bring enough of them that there's nowhere to go that doesn't face at least one, or you're high enough PS that they can't dodge you.

At all other times, TLT is way better. And more than 4 points better.
