"Quickdraw"

Hey!

What do you guys think about

Quickdraw(29)/Backdraft(27) expertise(4)+weapons guidance(2)+LWF(2)+title(0)

total 37/35

In this way u can use expertise to change focus and your focus to change blanks getting almost always 3 hits.

If u have more ideas for tie sf let me now, thanks.

I've ran them alongside Omega Leader plenty of times. Usually works okay. Though I don't use weapons guidance because of the points:

"Quickdraw" (29)
Expertise (4)
Fire-Control System (2)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Special Ops Training (0)

"Backdraft" (27)
Expertise (4)
Fire-Control System (2)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Special Ops Training (0)

"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)

Total: 98

I'd try it but I don't have two Tie sf, seems cool although. I prefer weapons guidance because with fire control system u get to reroll the blanks(because the focus u change with expertise) instead with weapons guidance u put a hit, I now it's only one blank but I don't usually get more than one.

Gotcha, I thought you wanted to run both builds together.

I've always done FCS because if you focus, you keep it for defense. FCS/Expertise is plenty of offense for a 3-dice primary attack. Besides, with Quickdraw, if you only have weapons guidance, you can only spend a focus on your first shot since you don't have a way to stack focuses. You will get more out of Quickdraw if you keep a TL on a ship so you can modify your dice on both attacks all the while saving your focus on defense. Just my personal preference based on how I've flown Quickdraw.

Great, thanks. I'll try it with FCS the next time and see how it goes.

This...wow. **** son, that is one **** of a list.

My personal order of Quickdraw upgrades:

Lightweight Frame >> Fire Control System >> Elite upgrade (VI, Expertise, or A Score to Settle) > Missile of Choice > Pattern Analyzer.

Weapons Guidance is a nifty thought. I know folks have put it to strong use on Upsilon Shuttles, since their weak dials makes it hard to keep arc, so FCS becomes unreliable. As such, Weapons Guidance is a strong option there, since all you need is the focus action. The TIE/SF has a better dial, or at least is better able to leverage a dial with pretty similar reds/whites/greens, and thus folks have tended to go for FCS, since you can actually keep arc.

If I wanted to do a Weapons Guidance Quickdraw, I'd consider this: A Score to Settle, Advanced Sensors, Weapons Guidance, SOT-title, Lightweight Frame. Comes out to 36 points, if I'm mathing right. Advanced Sensors, with all the red moves and the high PS of a Quickdraw is pretty interesting to me. Actions before moving can be incredibly strong, whether that's just a focus before a Red (kind of necessary when using WG), or a spicy Barrel Roll to avoid a block and fly past a target (great with that rear arc). ASTS and Weapons Guidance gives pretty similar performance to Expertise on the enemy ship which has A Debt to Pay, and costs a heck of a lot less. Don't get me wrong. Expertise is great, and it easily can be the right choice. It's also 1/25th of a list, and as such, merits the consideration of alternatives.

Thank you.

The problem with that combo is what happens when you stressed, orhave to sloop? All your offense goes down the toilet. FCS keeps you firing

This is pretty important to consider, too, since Asajj is one of the top Scum pilots out there.

Weapons Guidance vs FCS isnt a thing. Two different slots. Take both?

But... for QD you want sensor cluster to help mitigate the number of shields being lost.

The person above who said FCS/expertise is all you need, is right.

Save that focus for defense.

My build for QD includes, Expertise, FCS, Sensor Cluster, LWF, Title.

I tried out Debris Gambit/Advanced Optics this weekend, and it added an insane amount of survivability. Also tried a build sans LWF adding Guidance Chips, and missed the extra green die a lot.

Anyone else tried a similar load out a try yet?

"Quickdraw" — TIE/sf Fighter 29
Debris Gambit 2
Fire-Control System 2
Harpoon Missiles 4
Advanced Optics 2
Lightweight Frame 2
Special Ops Training 0
Ship Total: 41

thats a pricey QD
