Can we make Eleven from Stranger Things?

By Kakita Shijin, in Genesys

SPOILER ALERT

. . . . . . . . . .

I detest spoilers. That being said, I am current with Stranger Things and I presume anyone reading or posting in this thread is too or doesn't care.

So, how can we make Eleven? Her powers are psionic, induced by drugs in utero right? – telekinesis, assisted telepathy, assisted astral projection. She suffers strain.

I'll add my own ideas when I can; for now I just wanted to throw this out there to get your ideas.

And then there's Eight ...

Something to disagree with:

Eleven is super cute and I'm glad they made her look like a boy. As a female main character with an eventual love interest, it's nice to see her beauty intentionally minimized. Plus she's a kid, so they let her be a kid.

Pretty standard magic for Eleven. Give her a Psionics (Will) skill that lets her access the Attack and Utility actions; you could make an argument for Curse and/or Barrier, as well, but most of what she does with her TK is Attack or Utility (the Gate is a Despair effect and is not directly modeled). The ESP is probably a Talent that gives her an extra way to use Discipline, but only in a sensory deprivation tanks; by season two, she's picked up a T5 upgrade that lets her make do with a blindfold and some white noise.

Eight is trickier, since we don't have an example of illusions in Genesys. Curse is an obvious possibility; you could also have her Conjure illusory objects/creatures (she seems to hit all five senses, so you can hack it well enough).
