Playing with Rebels - Wookie/Fenn-bug/Golds

So, playing with Rebels.

  • I'm liking the Y-Wings with FAA droids more and more.
  • The ions provide so much control over ships like Miranda.
  • Fenn provides a fair bit of control over incoming fire.
  • Fenn has wired since he'll be stressed for a good portion of the combat round, particularly defensively
  • Lowhhrick to protect Fenn. Fenn can coordinate to give Lowhhrick a focus to make that attack somewhat useful
  • 4 ships with 30 health total... 9 red dice, 15 with ions

Faults

  • Total firepower is somewhat underwhelming
  • Lowhhrick seems somewhat adrift without a tactician for some added stress control

Think it's competitive? Any suggested improvements?

I would agree with your assessment that total firepower is a bit lacking, but you really can't do anything about that unless you ditch a ship. You could, if you wanted, get a wee bit more out of those Ys/Fenn by ditching Lowhricck and doing this:

Fenn can double lock the Y's to give them predator on both of their shots as long as he's alive, besides his coordinating and his very useful pilot ability. Ezra is a very dangerous target to ignore, as double stress (or triple, if you use your spare points to add Snap Shot) is deadly, especially combined with ion. Basically, there is no good target here: no matter who you go for, you get Fenned, and you either leave the stressbot or Ion cannons to plunk away at you, making your life impossible.
