I've been thinking about ways that FFG could keep older units fresh or give them a power boost if required or even just to add variation. One model blister packs containing a heavy weapon (like a z-6 trooper) or specialized unit (combat medic?).
They could also sell boxes containing a variety of these models. It seems with the upgrade system this could be an interesting way to add variety
What do you guys think?
Seems easy enough, i agree. Alternatively a pack of several "specialists" with weapons/equipment that don't come in the main trooper box (so not the Z-6, but new things) would be easy. Could include something like a new weapon type, medic, combat engineer, spotter or whatever.

I think we will see something like this. I'm guessing it might be something analogous to the infantry command packs from runewars.
I hadn't seen the Runewars ones until now but yes....something similar would be easy to do for Legion i think.
However, it is worth noting that Legion units are restricted by the number and type of upgrade slots on their cards so you can't take TOO much per unit. ANything they added would need to fit into those slots really.

It's also worth noting that although the "+1 trooper upgrade" should feature in the trooper pack it's facedown in the reveal articles

Edit if they were to do an upgrade pack it will be the size of a trooper unit with several cards. With the lead time ffg usually has on reprints i cant see them making infinite amounts of single blisters........
Game stores certainly care about FFG making infinite amounts of blisters but when you look at games like X Wing or Descent, I am not sure FFG has a problem with it.
I can see them doing either or both individual trooper upgrade packs or multi upgrade packs like they did for rune wars. That upgrade btw can always add an extra slot.

I'd love to see more variety. Even a blister of different Rebel heads would be great.
