I'm definitely excited for it! Despite also being scared for my wallet. I put Legacies boosters on my Christmas wishlist for everybody, so I'm kinda sad that it won't actually be out by then...

They usually don't announce until like a week before, or the day of release, with an article on their homepage (that's why most of us FFG zealots hang out on the homepage on particularly auspicious days repeatedly hitting the refresh button ). A much more reliable source is your friendly local game store (FLGS), because they talk directly to the distributor and thus are usually more in the know.

i just really want Jarjar so i can start pissing people off with his sheer presence...lol

A few stores reported that date after communication with the distributor. With the article stating Q1 and other reports from FLGS/distributor conversations it appears late Jan or early Feb is the most likely.

About six weeks ago some of the big websites listed ‘Dec 14’ as the release date for the gravity feeds. From there, we all mentally locked that in as the release.

Though I just checked again now and they’ve switched back to ‘TBA’ so either the websites jumped the gun, or FFG made a prediction that has proved to be too optimistic.

I hope we get *something* for Christmas though... Rivals, or even just the Starters. I need something to put under the tree to myself from ‘Santa’ (I can’t cop flak for buying Destiny if it’s actually from Santa!)

Some of those "big websites" just make stuff up about releases. FFG's plans was 3 sets a year. So far this year, 2 sets. This is basically why everyone was thinking right before the movie. Clearly something happened that changed that. My guess is that two player set Disney wanted out for Force Friday push out Legacy's development time and delayed it a month or two. It would also explain why that two player set is just a bit "too good". It was probably rushed.

Polish publisher sent information to FLGS that the date is 15th Dec.

IDK, on one hand, the upcoming page says at the printer (*snicker*) and their article said next quarter and yet they just spoiled everything like it is coming out next week. Europe seems to think it is next week as well. It is hard to believe that they can put this set out secretly and yet not have the surprised spoiled by someone already. Stores do have to order this stuff after all.

Things don't seem to be adding up here, unless Pedro made his way to Europe in time and the North American bound boat crashed with a 7th Fleet ship.

My FLGS don't have an ETA and we have had all the pre release events and launch day events since pre awakenings. They seem to be talking next year as they said it was a shame as customers were hoping to get product for Xmas presents. Chance we aren't getting a pre release this time round if it does hit stores pre xmas. Personally hoping for end of Jan into Feb, I really feel that they did more harm than good announcing Legacies so close to the EaW release still...

I've heard Dec 22 a few places. Way too many mixed messages from all over the place at this point to tell for sure, but, I'd say January is a safe bet.

Given the mixed dates I am thinking maybe (and a big MAYBE it is) we'll get the Starters and Rivals in advance of the boosters, perhaps that is just me being far too optimistic than I should be, but I also tend to be used to the delays and problems that Pedro seems to run in to far too often so at the end of the day Destiny like Legions will get here when it gets here, and probably at the worst possible time for our wallets.

15 dec. Confirmed by polish publisher with offer send to FLGs.

i think all they havnt spoiled is Plots and any additional Grey stuff (since thats a thing now)

Obviously theres more characters of each color but that'd be towards a full 100% spoil.

At the rate things are being spoiled, I would err towards a release during January.

Eeeee no? From what we heard from our LGS (that forwarded the info straight from publisher) we have limited supply of Legacies this friday. Polish publisher has similar upcoming page that was updated last week with info that Legacies are indeed in their storages and awaits worldwide release.

No info about rivals (but that checks out - article clearly states about limited release in US only).

Do you have any facts in your sure statement of "we WON'T see it until end of Jan - mid Feb? This forum needs less speculation and more proof when throwing out dates like this.

Yeah Mep's making up stuff again.

This is product that is months in the making, you aren't going to just sit on it because early January isn't the preferred time for releasing product. That's just pissing money away in holding costs that they don't have incur.

My FLGS is being told 'possibly' Friday by their disty it the UK.

Typically companies don't release new products the first couple weeks of the year. Could it happen? Sure, will it? Not likely. The Upcoming page isn't always right but it also isn't mostly wrong. FFG is claiming Legacies hasn't even shipped yet. On top of that they are saying quarter 1 not in a few weeks. The release is far enough away for them not to be able to give a clear date. So again, not early January otherwise they would be giving that date if the release is imminent. They are spoiling the cards like crazy, as if it is about to come out, so I doubt they are thinking late quarter 1. That puts the release 1-2 months from now. Wanting the set to come out sooner won't make it so. We have enough information to have a pretty good idea of what is going on, like in Europe the distributor is calling the Rivals Packs part of the Legacies release, which it is technically a part of, so they aren't necessarily wrong, but that is what they are getting on Friday, which FFG already announced.

According to FFG a Destiny set takes about 6 months to print and ship from China. They said SoR was already in the printing process prior to Awakenings even releasing because of that lengthy lead time

Yet the Upcoming page had Legacies going to the printer in November. Let me refresh your memory that EaW came out in September, 2 months prior to FFG changing the status of Legacies to At the Printer.

As mentioned above because of the lead time in manufacturing and shipping sets go to the printer even before the previous set releases, 2 months before based on what we've been told. So that means the Upcoming page was months behind in updating the status of Legacies.

And when I say months, I actually mean months, not 4-6 weeks like you seem to be when saying months. FYI, next month isn't "months away" niether is 6 weeks.

The Upcoming page is 3-4 months out step with the actual place in the production cycle of Legacies (or any given set). No reasonable person would ever conclude that a full quarter plus off is remotely accurate.

This has been explained to you directly before or in threads you've been involved in. You continuing to hang your hat on the Upcoming page is wackadoo.
