COMPLETE RULEBOOK

By naitsirk, in Star Wars: Legion

Ok guys, last days was "game on" in Spain and there is a video in wich you can see a unboxing and all the rulebook.

rulebook (3:20) as far as i can see the damage in vehicles works :

when a vehicle suffer damage equal to his orange number, you must roll a red defence die. With a block you gain damaged token, with a blank you gain a inmovilized token and with a surge one of your weapons is destroyed.

Damaged: when activated you must roll a defence white dice, if you roll a blank you have 1 action less in this activation.

Inmovilized: you can not retreat and must spend 2 action for 1 move.

Other thing i can see is the overwatch action: only for infantry and you can do an attack or perform a move whenever a hostile unit perform an action within range 2.

If anyone can see another rule (my eyes can't) like the ion weapons or fleet (acobardamiento y retirada) please writte here and i can translate.

Nice, thanks!

Oh, sick. I hope they don't get in trouble for showing this stuff off.

I'll have to remember to pour through the whole video later.

Wish I could read spanish. This is good info.

So if I'm reading this right, using the AT-RT as an example...

...after taking 4 damage, you suffer one of 3 random debuffs (as determined at the time that the damage is incurred) which reduces the capabilities of your vehicle?

The book is 32 pages long, counting the covers/credits.

1: Front cover.
2: Introduction.
3: Box contents.
4/5: Assembly instructions.
6/7: Setting up the Learn to Play scenario.
8/9: How to play: units, commands, measuring.
10/11: Activation phase, end phase, infantry movement.
12: Vehicle movement.
13/14: Attacking.
15: Weapons, weapon keywords, hand-to-hand.
16: Hand-to-hand, terrain/cover.
17: Unit keywords.
18: Additional rules (beyond the Learn to Play scenario) - additional actions (recover, actions granted by upgrades, overwatch); measuring line of sight.
19: Attacking - looks like split-fire rules, and another section I can't figure out ("la reserva de ataque"); land vehicle movement.
20: Repulsor vehicle movement, vehicle damage; morale/suppression/panic.
21: Army creation.
22: Upgrade cards.
23: Ion tokens; deployment/condition/objective cards.
24/25: Setting up a complete game, including a section on terrain that I think is related to climbing.

28/29: Advanced assembly and painting of miniatures.
30: Scenery/terrain.

Sounds right, yeah.

A bit off topic, but I really like the little plastic insert they put in the box—lots of little cubbyholes for storage. Much better than FFG’s standard big box with a cardboard cutout taking up half the space.

I wonder if there is going to be an repair option eventually. Like R2 locking down a stabilizer... But for an AT-RT.

I'm pretty sure "reserva de ataque" means "attack pool". In the quick reference on the back it mentions in step 3, "Declaring additional defenders: if available weapons remain that haven't been added to the attack pool, the player can repeat steps 1 and 2 to create an independent attack pool with these weapons."

Whether that means that a trooper unit can split its attack or not I don't know, but it definitely should relate to the Arsenal keyword on the AT-ST and T-47.

Looks like the complete product. Gives me hope we'll see it soon!

Ah, interesting.

That could simply be describing mixed weapon units then, rolling all of one weapon before rolling another.

It was specifically "declaring additional defenders" that made me think split fire, but that could go either way.
