Regionals Rulers

By Mogrok, in Star Wars: Armada

So after getting home from getting a set of these things, they are all about a mm or some even 2 mm shorter than my previous sticks. Including the store champs full length double sided one from this year. Not impressed...although they look good. I'll be curious if all of them are the same I know there was some disparity amongst the old 2 separate green sticks from 2 years ago store champs.

Yep, same here I measured them up against my worlds templates.

This is a problem I wish I had :(

So I only have to shoot for top 8? good news! :P

This is actually a sneaky way for FFG to add in a handicap. By providing winning players with lower-distance measuring devices, and therefor cutting down their effectiveness, they bring the overall ceiling of play down so others can have a chance.

So is the wooden spoon prize this year going to be an elastic tape measure?

I would prefer they screw up their dice. LOL

Honestly, I got a pretty good look at the size difference myself it's about 1/32 at each cut. I think they just forgot to add cut tolerances.

I pulled the 2 full length sticks out of the set, and I use the double sided from store champs which is accurate to my core set stick. I use the regional sticks for obvious measurements. 9/10 times when I'm putting the stick down it's to show that something is clearly in or clearly out. A few 32nds shouldn't have too much effect on that, and if they do, I have the full stick from regionals.

I wish they were 100% but they're nice enough for me to overlook the small discrepancies.

Pretty confident I've got a few of these.

Who do you think, its the lowest cost bidder in china most likely. Honestly because I work for a manufacturing company in sales, these things probably have a tolerance and being a mm or 2 off is most likely considered in tolerance.

The marbled type dice roll nothing but blanks.

@Alzer 's theory is confirmed. :)
