Anyone have any resources specifically dedicated to finding pick up vassal games? I'm looking for facebook groups or websites specifically for Vassal link ups.
I know of one on Facebook called Vassal Connections but it seems to have gone dead.

Discord channel isn't terrible. My personal strategy is to be logged in virtually 24/7.
What is Discord channel?
Just bring up Vassal and mark yourself as wanting a game then wait. Most times when I try I am able to get a game within about an hour or less.

The Facebook is very dead - but then again it wasn't very much alive to begin with
Discord is probably the next place - the best is clearly just being online in the lobby whenever you can.

Which means that if somebody is looking for a game, he can simply log in and play against ras!
From my personal experience that means a game of great fun against an excellent player.

Had some success yesterday night. Played two games, one against rasproteus and one against another guy. Ras wrecked my fleet in two rounds, it was what they call 'a teachable moment'.
I'm on quite a fair bit too, but I'm neither as fun or as excellent as Rasp
Still, anyone new to vassal need not hesitate to send me a message if they are looking for a game and no one happens to be on. I have taught a fair number of people to play vassal and get a lot of enjoyment out of helping to add new players to the fold.
@rasproteus @Darth Veggie @BrobaFett are all excellent opponents known to lurk in the vassal lobby.

Context: Broba picked up that game last night after cowboy left, exploited a mistake I made, and ended up winning the game.
He is by far the superior player in our matchup.
Edit: 7 damage and 2 accuracies on 8 dice. I had nightmares last night because of you.

HI! I'm a new Armada player from Germany. I'm still learning the ropes, but I would welcome the chance to spar with those that are willing so I can gatherer experience and at one point pose a threat

Tips:
1. Log into the Vassal Armada lobby as often as you can. Actively ask for games.
2. The Discord server.
3. There is also the Facebook group, but it's not very active.

I have installed Vassal and the Armada mod. It seems quit complex and I have understood the basic principles. Still some things remain obscure and I hope my opponent is willing to help me before destroying me.
Normally I would volunteer, unfortunately I find myself super incredibly sick today. But I know there are plenty of players that are willing to teach rather than club on a players first few games out the gate. Best of luck getting a game, and if you can't, don't hesitate to send me a PM after the first of the year.
