Martial Arts vs. Physical Resistance/Immunity

By Deek, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Following on the heels of last night's session, I simply want to confirm:

The Martial Arts skill is NOT effected by physical resistance/immunity, correct? According to rules, physical resistance/immunity only comes into play against items. Logically speaking, physical resistance sounds like it should protect against unarmed melee, but the rules do not support the logic.

Also, a secondary question: If facing multiple monsters, does the player decide the order in which to evade/fight them? Or is there a different method of determining the order? I've skimmed several rulebooks but I've failed to locate an answer (which isn't to say it's not there, I simply haven't found it).

Thanks!

Correct. Martial Arts is unaffected by Monster Resistance/Immunity.

Player chooses in which order he wishes to encounter multiple monsters.

MA doesn't care about Phys. Immunity/Res. It's more an extension of your Fight.

Player decides.

Awesome, thanks guys! I eventually convinced the other fella of the correct interpretation, good to know I didn't mislead anyone. We also played the order of multiple monsters correctly, though there were several viable theories put forth (lowest evade modifier attacks first, highest toughness, etc).
