I'm just wondering if I am the only person who really likes the way they did the artwork of this game book, or am I just insane because I think this artwork is some of the best I've ever seen. It just pops out in its imagery more than most other rpg books.

There is a review on YouTube we’re the guy hates the game and one of the reasons is the art work lol. I myself love it makes it feel like my adventure not someone else

Yes, the line artwork I really like. My favorite pic is the city neighborhood spread on pages 32 and 33. I didn't even know how much I'd like this kind of artwork until this book, but it blows me away.

The artwork for the gaming table on page 5 made me laugh: the GM gets the best chair. As it should be!
Speaking of universes, the artwork is universally awesome, I must agree.
I really like the subtle theme that have with the art in this book. Only in the example settings section are there completed (read that as full color) pictures to reflect a completed setting. Everywhere else in the book, the art is blueprint-like, mostly complete to reflect the toolbox nature of this book. I love it!

I'm going to make a ribbon set that tucks into the spine at top using only the text colors, and perhaps black and white.

Like? Yeah, it's nice enough. It evokes a draftsman's work feel, and that's appropriate for a generic engine.

How many pages do you need to mark? Note that it will be easiest to use 2 of each color, as then you can tie them on easier with a "fold in the middle, pass the loop through a hole in the affixture card, pass the legs through the loop, cinch" Using that, you need about 24" long ribbons, a chunk of card about 3/4" wide by probably 2.5 to 3.5" long. Once you've got them all tied to the affixture, force it down the spine. If you want to ensure they never come out, once in place, use a straw to put some school glue between the spine and the affixture card, and nowhere else.
Very easy. Don't forget to either nail-polish or knot the bitter ends; ribbon doesn't unravel all that quickly, but it does unravel.
I find the artwork to be evocative of the Toolbox Feel of the GENESYS rulebook. Very appropriate. Love it in its context.

I am one of the guys who gives FFG a lot of **** for their production quality of their SW books (I am a french publishers loving snob, I know :p), but I think the genesys art style is brilliant. It's interesting, it's fitting, it's safes ffg money and seems to be the base that their setting full-color stuff is a notch up from the SWRPG stuff.
And btw, his complain about the paper quality might still be legit.
