I like the effort to make maul work , but I think expertise/k4 still is more potent on dengar!

I’ve gotten 3 games so far with Wired/Maul. It’s fairly good. The ability to have your dial completely open, have defensive mods when you choose to have them, and be able to fit in Countermeasures/Contraband Cybernetics is worth the switch to Wired/Maul.

I am really not a fan of Attani on most ships. In particular aces like Fenn, I feel that they need the freedom of something like PTL.

Isn't Wired and Maul a little redundant? I just feel like that build is kinda scatterbrained?

It’s a combo that is hard to explain unless you see it in person. It actually synergizes very well.

Essentially you’re going to roll up take a Focus. You roll average of Hit/Focus/Blank. Receive a stress to reroll the Blank, if it’s a hit spend your Focus. If it’s a Blank, just Wire the Focus and save focus for Defense. If you roll something like Focus/Blank/Blank Maul the two and make the same decision pattern. If you hit you’ll end up with only 1 stress. Maul’s removing a stress ability is also a MAY so you can strategically remove/leave the stress to your benefit for Defense and such.

The best part about it is Dengar is 53 Points in this set up. Same amount as Expertise/K4/Unhinged was. However, now you have Countermeasures and Contraband Cybernetics, on top of an open dial that has offensive and defensive mods.

Okay, I see it a little better. It might not be my choice of build, but hey man, whatever floats your goat!
