Personally I like it unlike the Rabble bomber. Its the imperial F22 or Sukhoi T50 . it looks great and will do the job well. The cost and one attack naure means its needs to be used carefully. Its certainly not an expendable ship.

He could have suggested "TIE Vendetta" with someone else vetoing it late in the production process in favour of TIE Silencer - hence the retention of TIE/VN in the designation.

Plus the First Order is basically space nazis.

Nazis had some cool names, but on some level they were childish bravado type names.

V1 and V2 rockets were "The Vengeance Weapons". Blitzkreig = Lightning War. Cool, but at the same time fairly low brow. "Its like, da fastest War evah!" Hitler generally called his super weapons "Wunderwaffen"=Wonder Weapons. Not exactly imaginative.

The Mandator IV class dreadnought has one point defense gun on its hull per about 1,000 feet. And two main guns for orbital bombardment. That's it. And noAA guns ventral . A 25,000 feet vessel, nearly 8km, for all pratical purposes a super-star-destroyer. But just two autoguns for orbital bombardment and 24 point-defense turrets.

The ARCs in this game represent war surplus that was probably stripped of armament before the Rebels acquired them, or at least replaced with weapons appropriate for civilian or local systems sales. The 2 att was the best armament they could find to slap on in most cases, with the alliance overhaul being the return of the big cannons.

However I would have written the title to require equipping a HLC or Mangler at full cost, and add a System slot with title costing 1 point. Those big guns sure look like they pack a punch.

It's interesting just how many design iterations this ship has been through already. The first leaked version had a black hull and white solar panels, similar to the other First Order TIEs Then there was the all-black version (understandable change since it looks a lot more unique and intimidating than the white-panelled version). Now the official model has the dark grey hull with black solar panels and red cockpit, which actually makes it look a bit more like the original trilogy's aesthetic than the First Orders.

Should make a TIE Avenger conversion/repaint a bit easier, though!
