Since the imperial players have several topics speculating on how best to utalize the new ISD titles I thought the MC75 could do with some lovin'. Which ships and playstyles seem to fit with all we currently know about the MC75 and since I am a relatively new player, any advice on what I should pick up to be played along side it when it is released would be most welcome. How will you be best putting together your MC75 with the rest of your fleet?

Akbar gunlines will be something I am keen to try out with the MC75 leading as although the side arcs arent as potent as an HMC80's it does have blacks in the front arc to stop those pesky shrimps from parking infront of your line and ruining your day with multiple self rams. For this reason I think they could be fun when used alongside a cheap gunnery teams AFMK2 followed by a TRC gunnery teams MC30 scout frigate to plink from range and threaten close range if they decide to close on your formation. Assuming the MC75 comes in at somewhere around 100pts that leaves room for a token passing flotilla (love em or hate em they can be quite handy) and a light squadron coverage.

I made this topic purposely not in the fleet builds section as I felt that there was far too much speculation still at hand.

Once we see an MC75 ship card complete with upgrade suite, maneuver chart, and cost, we can start speculating. Just the dice in the arcs is a good start, but the upgrade suite alone makes a YUUUGE difference on what roles it'll be able to fill.

I've been pairing an Ackbar Doom Pickle with a Landomonition and it works beautifully (when I fly it properly...). I imagine I'll be trying out the same combo if the MC75 can do dreadnought duties. That front arc solves one problem with the MC80, although Engine techs+RBD does wonders for any raider, cr90 or flotilla that thinks it can stop the Doom Train, other ships can pose a problem.

As you stated it will go great as the lead in an ackbar conga line.

I also think it will do great in a sato fleet with shrimps, hammerheads, and cr90’s. A high squadron value and a desire to get up close, with the hull and tokens to do so will result in throwing a LOT of black dice

Have we seen is Squadron value yet? I don't remember.

We have seen the top part of the card for Armored Cruiser and its squadron is 3. There are two forum thrends that show this pic. One is showing french spread found first and the other is HD english spread.

The MC75 will pair nicely with MC30s in an Ackbar list. We'll finally be doing the Ackbar Slash the right way.

I too believe that the MC75 is a perfect ship for Sato. So what else goes well with Sato? Anything with a weapons team to take advantage of those lovely black dice - so MC30's and Assault Frigates probably fit the best.

I think dodonna's pride will pair extremely well with profundity title... Dodonna's pride, leading shots, engine techs, could probably kill a glad or mc30 that way.

Probably garel's honor as well...
