Target Lock means evade action makes the TAP an ideal ordnance carrier- especially when paired with the Guidance Chimps that TAP came with.
We'd probably see that combo used more if the TAP had an additional Torp slot or something, though. Or a missile that could reload, or _something_...
I actually really like the EPT, there are plenty of mid ships that may need the evade result and are just almost there and can't pull it off. Tie SF, Bomber, tie/d defenders (super expensive ik), maybe even the t-65 x wing? Either way, when there are 2 asteroids near and you are jack enough with swarm leader to be in position you can spend evades and have extra ones in the bank. Not to mention large ships are gonna eat this up and get 2 evades much easier.
Edited by Yoda ManThe EPT is small ship only, thank ****.

Yeah, OA loves this on an Omega Sqd Pilot nearby.

You didn't miss much. Everyone freaked out, and a lot of people creamed their pants looking at the dial. Lots of showers afterwards.
And lizard droppings.

Priceless!
Official cuteness award, love it! (and so did my wife and kids
!)
I know everybody said drop the TL in response to my earlier (joke-ish) post, but you guys do realize that means that the Silencer couldn't use the new tech (which everybody loves) that comes in it's pack unless they paid extra points for TC or FCS or something right?
Just making sure.
EDIT: inb4 "spend evade" given how Threat Tracker is worded that would really basically just need to make the entire card have to be worded differently. It's not a 1-to-1 translation there.

It has TL native.

Right, people were asking why can't it evade instead. To do so you'd have to drop an action - everybody says drop TL, but in seriousness that really complicates the design on Threat Tracker for everybody else.
Plus then Imperial players can't find something new to be salty about, no Jan Ors
Everyone says drop TL for Evade because its redundant.
This ship has access to FCS if you really want TL's
The title is a minor reroll innately and isnt stresscancelled
Its not rolling 5+ dice, and afaik the only way to get 5die on it since it lacks ordnance is R1 obstructed with Trick Shot...ever tried to do that? It aint easy w/o a turret.
The sheer fact this thing lacks an evade action is whats keeping it from being absolutely broken atm. That, and a white turnaround. If it had either it would be pretty freaking tough to deal with.
Tsk, tsk, tsk...FFG, two missed opportunities with late articles for ships - we were so desperate for info, we even went over sea's for it....

Can you skip a ship becoming the "Active ship"?
I know you can miss shooting with a ship thanks to the "missed oppurtunity" rules.
But can me, as the owner of that Tech, force an enemy ship to be the active ship if my opponent forgets his ship?
Is there a "pre activation" phase where my opponent decides he wants that ship to be the active ship? Or is thinking what he will do with that ship cause it to be active?
My hunch is no. A ship has to activate before you get the chance to decide whether or not to shoot. Otherwise, for example, you wouldn't be able to measure ranges before deciding if you want to shoot.
