The way I read the Chimaera title, you don't even need to fully pay for it it, right? IE., you pay for Chimaera and one of the other 5-pt fleet command upgrades, then equip one of the 6-pt upgrades as needed, such as intensify firepower?

(It does make me wonder about that 'discard' vs 'replace it with another'. Like...can I start with 'Entrapment Formation', discard that later in the game to equip 'Shields to Maximum', and then later discard 'Shields to Maximum' to re-equip 'Entrapment Formation'? I mean, normally I'd assume 'discard' means it's gone from the game, but there is also no real precedent for equipping cards you didn't buy in the first place...IE., you are already equipping cards that were 'not in the game')

I'd read it as such, yes. Does seem like it has to BE there, though, so if it was previously discarded, no changing for you.

Not sure I see the precedent for that distinction, though. I mean, you are removing a card from your ship to equip a card that isn't currently "in the game". Does it matter if it isn't "in the game" because you never equipped it, or because you had equipped it but since discarded it? Needs FAQ...

Sure, but you are paying 4 pts for the privilege. So...I'm not sure I see that as a huge problem.

(I mean, it does all but guarantee we'll never see 0- or 1- pt fleet commands. At least, not without them being 'Rebel only' or something. Not that I really expect them, but there ya go.)

Wow, Chimera makes a joke of the already laughable Pelta-class.

Why pay for an underefficient pelta chassis that is paying a lot of points for mere access to a single fleet command upgrade when you can instead just slap Chimera onto one of the best combat platforms in the game and use all the fleet commands?

Ridiculous.

I agree. While my kneejerk is "SHOW ME MORE CARDS," I think a community member based article is exactly what we needed.

Or how the Thrawn example talks about revealing a squadron but needing the Nav, yet shows the ship revealing an engineering and Thrawn's stack revealing a firepower? Poor folks in FFG's graphic design department must get absolutely no help with navigating the game's components and symbols.

Yeah I agree that it's probably factored in to the 4 points cost, so I'm not really worried either. I just expect to see lots of people bringing Entrapment Formation or AFFM in their list, only to immediately discard it for Shields to Maximum or Intensify Firepower, lol. Looks like an awesome title, but I'm worried about endless debates until an FAQ comes out...
