Hi Was just about to take the plunge on this for me and the missus to play when somebody mentioned it might be 3+ players only.

It can be played with just two players.. well, a game master, and a single player. The more the merrier, but if your situation precludes others joining the game, it can be fun and rewarding.

For a pair like us (im experienced with games but the wife isnt really) would you recommend it for two players or better if it was 3?

It might be more fun with three, if you have another player interested. Just be sure to help the other player not feel like a "third wheel."
