I've flown this a few times now, and won 100-0 2 of 3 times, and 100-26 the third time. That's enough for me to explore further; I think there's something here. I've considered making one of the y-wings a stresshog, and I've considered making one Jess Pava.

Who else has tried it? Anyone have suggestions or criticisms (other than the fact that I'll need another Most Wanted for 2 more BTL-A4 titles).

Edit: I call the squad The Federal Aviation Administration: FAA for Flight Assist Astromech and because they are controlling the **** out of the airspace.

Interesting idea. I think FAA will do wonders for the BTL Ys.

How often do you think you actually need the ion bombs? Just wondering if it's a little redundant to have ion turrets and ion bombs. Perhaps you could change one of them to seismics just to increase damage output.

Also how would you feel about a variant with Ops Specialist in there somewhere. This list would love it, having so many shots. Then they could target lock as actions and get focuses when somebody misses.

I think “Air Traffic Control” would be a good name.

After reading FAA, I thought how it might actually end up being Y enhancement over the fabled X fix.

The rules for FAA could have been an X title that also cost -4 pts for the T-65 and -2 pts for the T-70...or just redo all the points and release as a pdf like I keep saying and we can focus on new stuff being new and not how to squeeze in additive fixes for the old!

They are hilariously fun, I threw in Jess Pava, though, because she is just that efficient and it is easy enough to have 2 ships by her side when it matters.

@Skeether Operations Specialist is a great idea. Replace a ywing and the bombs with a ps1 auzituck and he's got enough points for Ops Spec.

I plan on trying two of them with 2x Tactician Auzitucks.

Yeah that sounds like some dirty control. With the ion you can easily set up the tactician to proc again and again.

Gonna throw the All Stop U-Wing in there to make some seriously annoying blocks. Wish I had some points for FCS but need the Ops Spec and Hera. He will still get a focus token if somebody misses.

I think for everything you want the U-Wing for, the Auzituck is better. Sadly; I do love that U-Wing model.

Unless you want to block, the U is one of the better rebel blockers

A wookie with opspec + zeb

Have him lead the way, see if people want to really spend time to kill a wookie, or go for ywings meanwhile wookie supply focus tokens to everyone.

I think with 4+ ships, Seismic Torpedoes can be a godsend. Being able to clear a rock out of the way and throw three other ships through the gap can be a nasty shock.

One ship with Seismic Torps and one as a TLT/R3-A2 Stresshog could be nasty. Ion + Stress in combination is no laughing matter.

@SOTL How about this, instead of 2y2wook?

Definitely liking the stress option as well. It also allows one of them to shoot a little further with the TLT as Ion Turrets are only range 2.

I do worry about this list against good alpha strike ordnance that is able to stay at range 3 in the opening joust. One ship can easily be erased with not much return fire. And Y-wings aren't the best at rushing into close range.

Also does anyone know how Ops Spec functions with TLT fire. Do both shots have to miss in order for it to proc only once (like Gunner), or would a focus be assigned for each dice roll that missed?

I don't have TLT in this list, but for Operations Specialist to trigger from TLT, both shots would have to miss.
