100% Agree...also I am pretty sure the Regional Meta is a lie and basically all of it is fake news.

Anecdotally and checking list juggler, I’d have to agree. But I think the rapid FAQ of the last version of cancer helped a lot.

Although it should be noted that Barcelona (and Spain to a lesser degree) has always been kinda an outsider on meta talks. It's one of those places where many of the best players doesn't give a **** and love to bring whatever they feel or like to play ( @darthlurker is a perfect example of this, although he didn't play this time, he was there as a ref).

FFG was done using TOME so 16 results above need to be entered manually but that’s probably the most that can be expected at best from that tourney, unfortunately.

Montreal, QC, Canada regionals is done!

Top 8: 2 Imperials, 6 Rebels

Top 4: 4 Rebels. 0 Nym. 0 Miranda. 0 Harpoons

The 2 that didnt make it to finals: Dash + Poe (lost to Winner) and Norra, Lowhhrick and I think Fenn? (lost to runner-up)

Top 2: Rey + Lowhhrick vs Norra, Poe, Fenn

Glendale System Open. Hoping we get more specifics. Arizona can be weird sometimes and not post these sort of things (At a past event I asked for list specifics for a tournament I attended and was asked not to post them to listjuggler).

Here are the non specifics though for top 8.

Miranda/Nym

Lothal (zeb)/Rau

Miranda/Dash

Chopper (zeb)/Rau

Dash/Poe

Dash, Poe

Rho/Rho/Nu/Sienar spec

Lothal (zeb)/Nym

I’m pretty certain it came down to two of the Ghost lists in the final and that should be available on goldsquadron’s twitch stream for anyone wanting to confirm. Dee Yun was the runner up in that one.

Other notables would be Triple gunboats + aggressor making top 4. And a (and don’t quote me on this, only have pictures to base this off of) a kimogila making an appearance in a top 16 list.

Meta seems pretty fresh right now, but I would say get gettin while the gettin is good. Do not be surprised if things get figured out within a month or so and the forums are begging for the next faq once again.

Regarding glendale, there was definitely a double Kimo plus Thweek list in the top 16. Only three Imperials, one of which lost in the 16/17 play-in game (there were 17 players with 5 or more wins after day 1). In what was assuredly a rebel conspiracy, the other two Imperials were matched up in the round of 16. I had Yorr/QD/Quis and lost to Don Childers with the gunboats and aggressor (2x deadeye rho, LRS nu, tlt+lightweight agressor).

Poe/dash and ghost+1 were probably the two most common archetypes, but there was quite a bit of variety.

Ya I feel like when “teams” all come to a tournament playing the same (or near same) builds, it can kind of warp things to make it look less diverse than it really was. Not only is Ghost + Fenn a good build, it was also taken by numerous well seasoned players. I think it’s a high tier list, but I don’t think it was overpowering as much as it just had strong representation.

Small regional in Moss, Norway with 27 players (which actually is a lot for the Norwegian community).

Winner: 3 Lok revenants with Harpoons and ABT

Runner up: Kanan/Fenn/Ezra

Top 4: Fenn/Lowrick/Poe & Ryad/QD/Sabacc

Top 8: 4 x Wookies, QD/Lt Vynder/Scimitar squad pilot. Don't have the last two lists properly, but I believe it was a defender (Tie/D) heavy list and a Patrol leader with 2 NUs.

I know a lot of people thought this was a close game, but I was having a very hard time seeing how the imperial player was going to reach a win condition after losing Inquisitor (like Round 4?) even WITH Miranda having an Damaged Sensor for 3 turns.

It seemed to pop up elsewhere quite a bit, too, and I think that unlike some high tier lists, when it shows up it just does well regardless because there’s not as significant a decision tree.
