please post and discuss regional results here! As much info as you can about the event would be great total players, Swiss rounds, location, top cut with lists etc.

43 players top 8 cut

first place-Duncan Howard palp aces

second place- EGO w/jess

fourth place- Adam Forejt- timewalk Asajj

fourth place Fenn Asajj ndru

Now it's going to be very interesting to see whether or not that Palp Aces result is repeatable.

I think it is, and with the silencer coming out there may be some way to get that thing into a list with palp which seems pretty legit.

it could be like Nathan Eide with his Corran Nym - mostly being due to their incredible skill and not the list.

I find your lack of faith disturbing. In all seriousness though, it is absolutely repeatable but still requires a dedicated Imperial player with lots of practice.

The more confusing thing to me.....how the heck were there only 40 or so players?!?

Is this probably the "smallest" regional or is this typical and others might be in that 40-80 range?

It was right after Thanksgiving.

And it was 1 week after the nearby Mandalore System Open at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia. This does not diminish Duncan's accomplishment. It's as if lots of practice and clear thinking matters, or something! Congratulations, Duncan.

So I totally know what all of those lists are because I’m cool and hip, but for those people who aren’t in the know, what is EGO w/Jess and timewalk Asajj?

Duncan was probably flying PS11 Sensor Clusters Quickdraw, PTL Autothrusters Inquistor, & Yorr Palp.

Timewalk Assaj I think usually means super defensive with Lone Wolf, Latts, and 2 glitterstims.

EGO is Miranda Lowhrick & usually biggs but in this case Pava.

Duncan’s build is not earth shattering. It’s a pretty simple seeming list, but I like the synergy between PTL Inquisitor and Yorr.

I think his performance is more down to skill than anything else really.

The QD goes first, holds his focus for defense. Inq tokwns up and shoots at things from range 3, Palp creates a crit or clutch evade result as necessary.

I’m curios how a 4 Wookiee ship list couldn’t take out the Lambda, QD and Inq aren’t exactly overly menacing.

The guy running 4 wookies could not roll hits the whole day, I think after the first game he started keeping track, and by the end of game 5 he was up to 148 blanks (with commando rerolls).

That is one of the saddest top 8's I've ever seen.

First no imperials at all.

Second look at alllll the repeat pilots in the 8 lists!

4 Asajj, 3 Fenn, 2 Thweek, and 2 Thugs for Scum. 2 Dash, 2 Lowhhrick, and 2 Wullffwarro for Rebels.

That was already the repeat, as Palp Aces won already the Dutch National iirc.

Anyone know the exact second place list? I'm curious to see if there was a missile on Miranda. To get something better than Cruise requires Jess to only have a 1pt droid and IA.

Wow, this has got to the smallest US Regional since the 2014 Season moved to actual Regions.

This is what happens when a community buries an event on the second biggest family-time holiday weekend in the States, effectively turning it into a local tourney for folks with minimal family commitments.

I can't even remember a Store Championship that was less than 50 players around here in the past couple years...

In MD we had 40-50 for all but a couple of our store champs. This regional was so small simply due to timing.

Can't quite remember the year, I think it was 2015 but they had a regional in Boise, ID. It only had around 35 players.
