JJ Dual ISDs

By Teh HOBO, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Still trying to make dual ISDs work for me. I'm a pretty aggressive player(despite my love of Victories) so I love JJ ability to jam the Impstar down throats.

Fighter coverage is weak, but should be good for a big alpha to put a dent in a fighter group and buy me a turn. HiCap+H9= dead flots in the sides I've used it before and liked it I'm just not sure it's better than the standard ISD2. Quads is for ankle-biters, works real well on the sides 2R 1B and leading shots at long or the 2R 3B shot at medium which is a lot scarier for small ships. Long range leading shots on the front is sweet too.

I prefer the ISD2 version. With SFOs you can probably ditch the Relentless title for better fighters ( upgrade a TIE to Sabre?) or Suppressor on a Flotilla.

Definitly the second version, add a little defense to your flagship and a Gunnery teams ISD2 will help even up activations for when you encounter an enemy MSU

I'm not a giant fan of QBT/SW-7 I-2s generally, but I think trying to pair it with an I-1 Avenger can really only end poorly barring extremely good deployment results (both yours and your opponents). Avenger, with or without the not-quite-mandatory upgrade of Tua-ECMs, really doesn't want a protracted firefight with anything near its own size, which is what it's really designed to kill. That's not necessarily an issue, but usually that means it comes bearing down at speed 2 or 3, faster than its target. In order for that I-2 to keep up, it also must maintain near or equivalent speed, which will usually force you to give up QBT's bonus dice. If you want an I-2 as long range fire support I'd use DTT or XI7 as the turbolasers, and ions to taste. Just my personal experience from running QBT ISDs generally and JJ I-1 brawlers in pairs.

My Regionals list looks like this:

Was on the receiving end of this list. It was very painful.
