Really excited about this one. Does anyone know the page count of the book. I think many assume it is the size of the Star Wars books. Those books are 59 though and this one is 39.95. That is close to the price of the End of The World stuff that is around 160 pages. My guess is 250 to 300. Not sure though. Can not seem to find that anywhere.
Page Count
It looked about the thickness of one of the 5E books to me when I saw it on display at Gencon.
That is my guess too. I saw it to at Gen Con, but that was maybe mock up. From the people who played the demo said, I think they indicated using the crit tables from Star Wars so not sure the finale page count was known at the time. I do think it will be around 250 to 300. Some of the pricing maybe no licensing with Genesys that they had with Star Wars and End of the World.
Edited by Dave69I can always call them Monday and ask.
I think 5e level of thickness sounds about right.
The picture I see on reddit is about that 5e level of thickness, maybe a touch more thin.
I think you may be right. It is hard to tell with the angle and lighting of the one image of open book and the other is in box. Thinking maybe 250 to 300 pages. Will call and ask Monday.
5e core books are around 293 to 354. Genesys simply guessing 280 to 320 maybe.
According to Amazon, the book is 0.86 inches thick. So... go from there?
(For reference sake, Amazon lists the thickness of the D&D5E PHB at 0.8 inches. It is 320 pages.)
Edited by Simon RetoldI asked the question to those on reddit who had pictures of the book. It was reported that the book was 251 pages not counting the index. It had also been reported that there were not talent trees which conservatively may have been 40 or more pages in Star Wars books. So 251 not counting index is pretty decent size for the book at 39.95. Also if you factor in no talent trees it is reasonably dense.
251 not counting the index is my guess.
Talked with Customer Service at Fantasy Flight Games and the page count is 256.
