Station assault

By Darth Sanguis, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

If you table an opponent who has both stations out, are they destroyed?

Unknown at this time.

Question was submitted to FFG earlier in the year by me.

That being said, for unofficial side of things:

I say No.

Generally , the consensus with Objectives is that they are left "unfulfilled" when the game ends, and they remain in their state. Precedent being that if you table your opponent in Turn 4, you don't score Fire Lanes or Contested Outpost for turns 5 and 6 at that point.

They are only counted as ships for the purposes of attacking and defending, essentially. Not for tabling or being tabled.

We have the precedence of show of force FAQ. Not necessarily applicable here but something.

Sorry to revive a dead thread. But if you table your opponent before killing the stations does the defender get pts for them even though he is out or do they count as destroyed.

So for this objective there are two states that matter when scoring the stations as it states for End of Game.

State 1: Is one or both Stations destroyed? Then the attacker gains 1-2 victory tokens worth 40-80 points for MOV.

State 2: Is one or both Stations not destroyed? Then the defender gains 1-2 victory tokens worth 40-80 points for MOV.

The New FAQ on "Blockade Run" supports this precedence.

"At the end of the game, the second player can gain 1 victory token for each of their flotilla ships in the first player’s deployment zone, even if all of the second player’s non-flotilla ships have been destroyed."

Although it was already largely accepted before that, that stations still count for MOV for the defender if the stations were not destroyed and the defender was tabled. As you still follow RRG for scoring.
