My first tie ace list

By Thrst77, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hey everyone, I am starting to get into x wing and really want to have a 100pt list. Here is what I have been thinking

Tie interceptor - turr phennir
Title: royal guard tie
Elite: veteran instincts
Mod: autothrusters
Mod: stealth device
31pts

Inquisitor tie- inquisitor
- title: tie v/1
- elite: push the limit
- mod: autothrusters
31pts

Tie sf- quickdraw
- elite: push the limit
- title: spec ops training
- sonar: electronic baffle
- mod: shield upgrade
37pts

The list is a mix of aces from other lists I found and liked. Tell me what you think.

Push the Limit on QD is not recommended personally. You do have a way to shred stress, but with the rest of the list also very light on Hull you want to make every HP count. You may find Fire Control, and LWF a better fir in a list like this to give QD more survivability. You EPT would vary on what you have.

What Ronu said and I would also replace Stealth Device on Turr with a Hull Upgrade. Bombs are going to the biggest threat to an Interceptor in this day and age, and it is damage that avoids agility rolls. So having as many hit points as you can is going to be key to surviving.

Inky is perfect there. I would agree with the above suggestions for QD: LWF on him is bomb af, as is FCS. My personal fav EPT on him is Expertise, as it really really optimizes his double/quadruple taps.

Why do you want to use Turr? He's not the strongest interceptor pilot. In his place, you could fit the ever-infuriating Omega Leader (Juke, Comm Relay), or Carnor/Soontir

Thank you all for the feedback! I have adjusted the list. Tell me what you think.

Tie interceptor - soontir fel
Elite: push the limit
Mod: autothrusters
Mod: hull upgrade
35pts

Inquisitor tie- inquisitor
- title: tie v/1
- elite: push the limit
- mod: autothrusters
31pts

Tie sf- quickdraw
- elite: veteran instincts
- title: spec ops training
- sonar: fire control system
- mod: lightweight frame
34pts

That looks a lot stronger! While I personally might drop Soontir to OL, allowing QD Expertise, there is great potency in the build you have here.

I think you will find that more forgiving overall. Still have to be wary of bombs and the like but at lease you have a bit more to work with. QD at 11 means you should be moving last shooting first for most engagements, and can work to set up double shots.

Your current list is in great shape. However, just as an expectations-setting sort of thing, be aware that the TIE Interceptor and TIE Advanced Prototype really suffer in the current tournament environment against the prevalent bombs and Pilot Skill 10 and 11 ships. They may also take some getting used to flying well. That said, the TIE Interceptor is one of my favourite ships to fly, and all three of your pilots are really strong in general. I hope you'll enjoy flying them in whatever setting your choose. :)

Thanks again for the feedback everyone! I really appreciate the help. I have been watching a few battle reports and have seen a advanced slam miranda scum list that brutalized an imperial list. I also will need to learn about flying and positioning but I wanted to have a solid list to start off with.
