I've got two double Ghost lists I'd like to try but I'm not sure which to take

List A:

Essentially the choice boils down to offensive Kanan or defensive Kanan. I'm leaning towards to first list because offense may be the best defense. On the other hand, the first list will strongly encourage my opponent to target Kanan first, so it'll be up to me to antagonize and distract effectively with chopper to try to get them to shift their attention.

The tactical jammer in the second list would enable chopper to run interference and has less of an obvious target priority.

Thoughts?

P.S. If there are any other VCX enthusiasts out there that haven't tried the TLT, wookiee commandos, reinforced deflectors combo, I strongly recommend it--especially in the current meta. You can freely evade every turn and soak alpha strikes like crazy. I ran a lothal with Dash at my last tournament and took a 5 dice and a 4 dice cruise missile on the opening. I had 1 shield left at the end of the round and my opponent's jaw about hit the floor!

I'd run a combo of both (Fcs and ret spec).

Personally i don't see the value in kanan unless he's using that ability mulitple times a round..... and i see rey as more stress and token strip insurance rather than a method to provide extra uses of his ability.

Points are tight and that's not a possible combo. Rec Spec is one point more than Rey.

2 ability or

1 ability 1 offense/defense focus or

1 ability + tank a jam token or

1 focus use + 1 bank on rey, which she may or may not hold onto for several turns depending on how the combat round looks and list matchup.

Hmm...so a 99 point list version of list B then? Trade Adv sensors for FCS? I can see that.

Not sure how often the bid will come up though. Against Manaroo and/or deadeye K-fighters.

I like Finn quite a bit though. Very handy against wookiee gunships or Fenn or anything else with built in defense (reinforced deflectors).

Could trade the tactical jammer for an ion projector on chopper on a 99 point list.

Thoughts on that?

@Sekac , just want to say the Chopper build is awesome. It's inspired me to build it in a fleet for an upcoming game so thanks for that. I'm really keen to hear how it performs for you.

Well like I mentioned before, I took it to a tournament--the Evergreen Cup. It wasn't chopper though, just a Lothal rebel due to the list building restrictions in the team format.

It's a great build though. That ghost will solo Dash 9 times out of 10. It takes him at the absolute minimum 7 turns to kill the Ghost and that's if he rolls perfectly.

Wookiee commandos were the missing piece for the build. I've always liked running reinforced deflectors on the ghost, but it just didn't have the mods to compensate for the free target locks from FCS. But as Chris Allen points out on the latest Scum & Villainy podcast, wookiees are half as effective as expertise for 1/4 the cost.

But as good (and **** enjoyable) as that build is on a Lothal, it should be even more so with Chopper. Just run it right at them and tempt them to fire ordnance at it.

Either save your missiles for a "better target" and try to ignore the 4 dice primary and/or TLT that's blocking and stressing, or waste them on a target that really doesn't mind any ordnance in the game. Chopper especially enjoys being harpooned.

So I haven't yet seen what Chopper can do, but the list is, IMO, far better than the traditional Dash+VCX w/ autoblaster. TLTs are better, I think we all know that. TLTs with mods on both shots for 1 point and 0 actions is amazing. And it serves as the perfect distraction against missiles Dash really doesn't want to deal with.

Opponents know the missiles must be fired at Dash, but they also know they can't afford to ignore a VCX while Dash **** off.

Just wait until they bite on the Ghost, and then hammer them down.

Nonsense, the bow and arrow was invented many times. Nobody gets full credit, but the people who used it to the most effect earned their notoriety

I lost a game to Rauboats (RIP) because I didn't use the SLAM when I had the chance. I thought I'd get out of range of one with a barrell roll instead, but was wrong, and lost my HLC to Boba on proton torps. Don't be like me, be better.
