Poe is currently my very favourite pilot :)

It’s good to have an ace in an x-wing who’s generally strong :)

•Poe Dameron (43) - T-70 X-Wing
Intensity (2), •BB-8 (2), Comm Relay (3), •Black One (1), Autothrusters (2)

Currently buddying up with Dash but for the last few weeks he’s had Rey or a pair of T’70s on his wing.

In a few short weeks I’ll trade his Com Relay for Advanced optics.

Today he flew straight through a carefully laid triple imperial killzone losing only one shield. What a guy.

Any of you flying him competitively at the moment? How are you building him, and what’re you flying with him?

Poe is excellent. Of course I enjoy flying the black T-70 with Intensity and BB8 a lot, too.

Intensity fits his pilot ability very well, but it might get replaced by another Elite as soon as Advanced Optics drops into the Tech slot.

The only problem with Poe is: He is incredibly expensive.

I try to keep him under 40 points, so I'll have enough points left for a solid 3 ship list. But that's not easy. A full equip Poe ends up 42-ish points usually.

He is in my current tournament set up ... which is Dash and Plot Armour Poe ...

Intensity, R2D2, Comm Relay, Autothrusters, Black One

He is also in my funsies list box ... with Lone Wolf Han ... though looking at the amount of fun I have with this list, I'm more likely to move it to being my tournament list!

Intensity, BB8, Comm Relay, Autothrusters, Black One

Love flying him, love making people sad for underestimating him when he ends up at range one with fully modified attack dice.

I'm really excited by the possibilities opened up by advanced optics. Particularly BB8, VI Poe shedding two TLs at PS11 ... Savage.

On Poe's cost ... yes, he is expensive, but he is hard to kill. In tournament play, that is a massive benefit. As long as the rest of your list can kill more MOV than they are worth, Poe survives to time and you win the game.

My current Poe is 45 points - and I don't want him any cheaper

He *is* dreamy, now, isn't he? ^_^

Uh... What?

The Han list is on my test list but haven’t got around to yet. EU, C3P0, Rey, LW, old title.

Im yearning to go back to flying small ships though, so Corran Poe, Nym Poe and Ashoka Nien Poe are all on the cards. Probably not very good but as fun as **** to fly.

Triple T70s are a favourite too but I’m struggling to make them work as well as I used to.

I started with the TFA core set in 2015 and I’ve been flying Poe more or less ever since.

Like you I mostly fly him with a freighter: Dash, Leebo, Rey or sometimes Han.

Or I fly him with a couple T-70s.

My current favorite build is

PS 9 Poe, Intensity, Black 1, BB8, Primed Thrusters, Autothrusters at 41 points.

I’m looking forward PS9 Poe, VI, BB8, B1, Advanced Optics, AT, also at 41 points.

he's a good pilot, I just wish he didn't hate me. Every time I fly him, I see so many blanks I feel like I'm filling out a mad lib.

that's why I started flying Norra, just make your own dice.

Poe is great, but I think RegenPoe is still stronger than IntensityPoe.

I was flying a Tripple T70 list recently for fun with a PS8 Poe, and Red Ace with com relay and R2D2. Super fun to fly and hard to take off the board.

Poe (PS8) + Black One + BB8 + Intensity + Authothrusters

Red Ace + Com Relay + R2D2 + IA

Jess Pava + R2 + IA

As soon as the new Phantom II comes out I wanna try swapping Jess with it. For 29 Points you probably can get more out of the Phantom than with Jess. Maybe not, maybe just putting the new flight astromech onto jess will just be fine. But with the new harpoons while Jess has to be in range 1 is probably not going to work out too well.

Yeah, he's one **** of a pilot.

You know... you can have your cake and eat it with intensity regen Poe.

PS9 Poe with R2-D2, Intensity, Comm Relay, Black 1 and Autothrusters at 45 points is a nigh unassailable points fortress. A bit anaemia in offence but useful nonetheless

I have been Running a Lone Wolf Poe with a VI Dash most of this year and having great success. PA Helps open up his dial to allow regen in kife fights most the time , and LW makes him super tanky and still have a bump in offence. VI Dash is easy enough to keep out of R2 and still both attack the same ship. Add Black One if you don't care about Bid.

This is my Fav Poe set up. Just need to watch out for Stress dealers.

Poe Dameron (PS9) (33)
Lone Wolf (2)
R5-P9 (3)
Pattern Analyzer (2)
Autothrusters (2)

Dash Rendar (36)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Rey (2)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Outrider (5)

Total: 97

Well to be fair, he is one **** of a pilot.

I’m going to be running PS9 Poe with R2-D2, Adv Optics, title, AT and either LW or VI...gunna try LW first. I haven’t decided what to run with it, but it’ll probably be Rey to start.

The title is amazing. Makes it so that its pretty worthless to take TLs on Poe, making it hard to score fully modified hits.

I run with R2d2 and comm relay though. Having the evade helps a lot.

Also, intensity is really good, a lot better than expected.

... On a note, has anyone tried Intensity Kylo Silencer? With comm Relay.

I really want to take Poe out for a spin and get some more games under my belt alongside other T-70s and Rey in the Falcon. Nein Nunb, Jess, Snap, Ello and the rest all have fun abilities.

I've been spending a lot of time with my Defenders this year, and the arrival of The Promised One shortly means more Imperial squads for me for the forseeable future, but hopefully I'll be able to get some games in with the Resistance pilots soon.

I've been getting confident flying Intensity Poe with BB, Title, Primed Thruster, and Autothrusters. It's capable and under 40pts. I like that because I'm a fan of keeping my ships lean.

Now what else I fly with him is questionable.

Been running Poe with PA and your usual AT, BB-8, title build.

Its not bad, but advanced optics is going to be really good so I’ll switch to that.

Been pairing him with Rey, but I think I’m going to try and squeeze him into a 3 ship list, somehow.

Autoinclude tech upgrade.

Not nesscarily. It’s really good but Poe unlike Soontir has many build paths. It’s really up to player preference.

He is always my favourite pilot. Since I started with X-Wing.

The thing I hate about Poe is how he is portrayed in the movie. No real Backstory, no character growth, just instantly "One **** of a pilot..."

At least Wedge had some failures, he wasnt instantly "God Mode Rebel Pilot", sure he survived the death star, but thats not saying much, he only lived cause Vader said "Focus on the leader."

On Hoth, desperate tactics and lack of air support gave wedge a advantage over the Imperial Ground forces, minimal one at best though as he outflew a lot of AA fire coming up from AT ATs.

and then on Endor, he managed to outfly a few Tie Pilots, and during the Trench Run, He was protected by the super shields of the M. Falcon, as Wedge WAS in front.... Real question is why noone was firing at any tie fighters FOLLOWING the falcon during that run. Would have seemed quite effective.

And sure, Poe got captured at the beginning, Thats cause he wasnt a pilot of a x-wing being held by a child going "pew pew pew pew pew" your dead, your dead, your dead, Poe is champion!

When I started with X-Wing I played Poe Dameron + BB-8 + PTL.
When Heroes of Resistence came out, I increased PS and added Primed Thrusters and Black One. Final Result is Poe + PTL + BB-8 + Black One + Primed Thrusters + IA and it's immensly satisfying to fly this guy as an Arc Dodger with 3 actions per turn. BB-8 is just awesome! I tried Regen Poe as well but I didn't really liked it. However, Advanced Optics open new possibilities regarding EPT, while still have enough actions to make him maneuverable as ****!
