The silhouette is in I leave faction creation to FoaS.

Will add when I get home. Do you need Cardassians too or are you rolling them in with the Dominion?

Moving along on the backlog of undefined silhouettes.

At the moment, most of what remains is Hambo's WWII creations, GhostVortex & DScipio's Star Trek creations, and Foba's Homeworld creations.

I'm not really sure what to do with Hambo's WWII ground military units. The few images I can find are not conducive to silhouettes.

I will get the ones that I can, but some are going to be difficult at best, and will take time, so unfortunately most of them will be waiting for last.

You mentioned that the ground units were causing you trouble, so I thought I'd find a ground unit image that could silhouette easily.

I appreciate it. I have no intention to stop adding them. I'm hammering away. Just trying to get as many as possible entered in as short a time as possible. Best case, I only have a few hours each week to dedicate to the silhouettes, so I try to get the items I can get done quickly.

Are you trying to avoid direct side views?

I use Ortho if available, side view is the second best option in the case of ships or ground vehicles. With aircraft I prefer overhead as they are more definably different. Infantry is much more difficult to find a usable image that won't require a half hour of edge work.

Aircraft and ships are easier, as even if I can't locate an image of the vehicle on a solid background. Many of the images of them on the sea or in the sky are close enough to a solid background that they only require a little cleaning.

Ground vehicles become truly problematic if I can't locate that solid background image. At that point I am looking for low horizon images, so I only need to clean up the bottom half.

I will be going through all the Hambo stuff next, getting all I can get quickly. The time intensive stuff will get bumped down on my list.

As it is I have at least 30 creations, most from dxcapps, that require further information just to locate an possible image.

Not to worry, I will get through them, eventually.

On a related note, if you have Star Trek creations, please look for a silhouette, as about half of the undefined Star trek silhouettes are already in the system.

Good timing, I was planning to do some silhouette work tomorrow afternoon.

Had to take an extended break to avoid burnout - getting back on the horse this weekend.

Hey @Crabbok I saw that one is your vague projects is a Homebrew expansion for Armada. I know you don't have an account on KDY, but I invite you take make one and have a look around to see if there are any capabilities that KDY lacks that you'd want added in order to help with your project.

Am I getting something wrong or would an ISD then be able to attack a squadron with all its eight die?

You're fully correct.

The idea here is that you can't hit this squadron by performing an anti-squadron attack from the arc it's in.

You'd have to dedicate a whole separate attack to kill it.

That's not what the wording implies. With the way you have it, while performing an anti-squadron attack against that squad, you would use your anti-ship dice. This means you are still attacking all the squadrons in arc.

Perhaps the wording "treat this squadron as a ship when attacking it" would do the trick? Squads must attack with anti-ship dice, and ships must use their anti-ship armament in a separate attack to an anti-squad one.

I agree with previous comments. I don't mind adding the keyword, but I think the wording needs to be clearer than even GhostofNobodyInParticular. There are a lot of possible implications to a squadron suddenly morphing into a ship while defending. I can't think of any off hand, but I'm sure there are upgrade cards that would suddenly get VERY wonky.
