Your all set. Feel free to PM me any of the silhouette requests. Anything with an easy to find image takes only a few minutes. The obscure ships or squadrons take some serious image doctoring to get a recognisable silhouette. If you catch me early on most week days, I can normally knock it out for you right away though.

Not a problem. Though, I am still looking for a good option to convert PNG images to vector SVG for version 2. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate your advice.

There are a couple of options there, actually - Inkscape I think has a Trace Bitmap feature - Illustrator's is better, but Illustrator is expensive whereas Inkscape is free.
Another option that I can look at is actually converting them over in batch using a PHP script and IMagick - they would have to be reviewed by us, but at least the heavy lifting would already be done. This would have to wait until I hit a certain milestone on the API, of course (which I'm getting back on the horse on soon).
Got it. I was already looking at inkscape, because of the cost of illustrator. I will give it a try when I get back from vacation.

To be honest, the current infrastructure of KDY isn't set up to handle that, and I'm not sure it could be.
KDY2 might be able to do it, but that'd take a bit of a rewrite. There's also the issue of limits - do I only allow 2 factions or do I allow 6? If more than 2, how does the back of the card get rendered, and how does the faction icon get displayed on the front of the card without overlapping everything?

Hacked solution is to have a “third party generic” star symbol meaning “refer to text” and make sure factions are stated there...

That would work for Squadrons, Stations, and Upgrades, but what about ships?
Also - now that I'm thinking about it, arc lines and squadron dials use parameters from it's faction entry. Which faction do I use to determine those colors?

The only two options I see that don't involve a complete rewrite.
1. Dras' third party. Create a 100% Generic/Neutral faction, then add faction symbols to the list of icons that can be added to the text. It would have its own line color, symbol... Everything a normal faction has. Example: Bulk Criuser, faction generic, usable by (Rebels), (Empire)...ect, may not be used by (Hapes Consortium).
2. Just make copies for each faction. (Though in some cases, I would like the ability to add the "unique" dots to even ship cards.) Example, Phoenix Nest unique title, unique Rebel Quasar Fire ship card.

I prefer the second solution, myself.
I do plan on adding unique tags for ships (actually, it'll be a more generalized "Title Symbol" which can indicate more than just uniqueness)
