I emailed Esdevium games on Thursday, politely pointing out that those go-getting Americans had already started theirs and asking about ours.

I really want some marble dice.

its true. Not sure if the winners have received their replacement „already“.

Was quite the sight when we put them next to other rulers.

That's one way to buff red dice ships.

EXTRA RANGE!

I’ve not heard anything at all from FFG about them, which is really annoying. They were so off they weren’t even consistent with themselves so you couldn’t even use them with your opponent as range one on one of them wasn’t the same as on another.

things like that are so perplexing to me...no way I could afford that kind of non professionalism in my own business (even if we are "only" talking about gaming).

I’ve framed mine with my medal, it looks nice at least

I don't know why I'd never done this before, but the other day I placed all my prize rulers next to each other. The orange one is a solid 1/8" shorter than the double-sided transparent ones. Strangely, ranges 1 through 4 were all a little longer on the orange one, despite it being shorter overall. By rule, I could pick and choose which ruler I use for each individual thing, right? I mean, that's cheesy and I wouldn't do it, but it would be legal? Definitely not cool how off they are.

You should use the same ruler for everything. Don't use a longer one for your attacks and a shorter one for your opponents. That's bad sportsmanship. I try to make sure the ruler I use is closest to the cardboard one, but even those are different sometimes.

I 100% agree, and that's exactly what I do. That being said, were I a bad person, would it not be perfectly legal for me to pick and choose which ruler I used for which actions? It's more commentary on how annoying it is to have all of these official items be so far off when this game can often be decided by millimeters.

If I recall the tournament rules correctly your opponent is allowed to challenge you, and the TO/Marshal is allowed to enforce that only one tool is used by both parties. I've never had it happen, but I'm 95% sure that's a provision.

I should probably say what I'm 95% about

The orange rulers being off is a well-known issue. The others have been accurate, however.

@GiledPallaeon is correct about the tournament ruling on forcing both players to use the same component if there's an issue, though, so far as I know.

As Giled said, your opponent can ask to use your tools so the rules already account for weird official products.

Euros was much longer too.

Have a bag of them, and go "I think I'll use the nine iron for this one."

...which is, of course, only permissible if you are playing for the Empire. favicon.ico

Of course! I knew there had to be something, I just wasn't thinking about it with my whole brain... It was during a basement game, and the beer fridge is in reach without leaving the table when I play at home, so it occasionally leads to some knee-jerk thoughts on the game.

Wash your mouth out with soap for even suggesting such a travesty!!

And it's not about 'doing' them. It's about using 'the Google' to find an icon-size image, and inserting it as an image from a URL.

Did your mother not teach you about being so 'freewheeling' with your affections?

Or about letting some other sucker do your work for you, then copy and pasting it. favicon.ico
