Functionally that's the same thing as Poe Only.

Nope. Resistance is a sub faction of rebels. And this it refers only to resistance ships, which currently are the T-70, this new bomber, new falcon and that's about it … at least I can't remember any other resistance ships currently in the game.
Okay so Adv Optics might work well for budget VI Poe for a higher PS version. I still see Intensity/Comm Relay Poe being better.

Hey now, don't poop on my quad FO ace build!
Intensity/Comm Relay Poe is rubbish. It's the most pointless way to spend almost 50pts.
Anything that lets Poe get aggressive is more interesting.

For real? That would be an awesome and thematically fitting card.

Whenever I get around to playing more, that's a definite house-rule. There is NO reason for Rex (crew) to exist otherwise (Operations Specialist says 'hi').

1) Disagree, he's a ***** to kill.
2) Agree, never taking target locks makes Intense/Comm Poe sad.
called launch, though really it was obvious from the beginning
optics r2-d2 Poe is going to be super legit. Full mods! Focus on T-roll! No need for actions!
imo, Cobalt is trash. You know I love -agility, but drop on reveal bombs disappear before attacks are declared so you're only getting utility out of failed ACTION bomb drops. Not worth it at all
gotta say, none of this changes my opinion on the res bomber sadly. It's still just "not Miranda 2.0". Defensive plating being roll-to-discard also really kills my enthusiasm, as launch --> blocks is about all this big bastard has going for it
Oh sweet baby Jesus, yes. There's going to be so much Poe.
8 minutes ago, Stay On The Leader said:Functionally that's the same thing as Poe Only.
Maybe. Omega Ace certainly isn't going to be winning tournaments, but with Advanced Optics and a Targeting Synchroniser Epsilon Ace, he can now get both of his tokens 'off board', meaning the (admittedly unlikely) glorious dream of dropping five automatic criticals on a ghost or decimator got one step closer.
And yes, advanced optics on Poe is brutal for its cost.
Wait, the BSF doesn't get an EPT?
oh man, the ps 1 is even more expensive than the Warden
really disappointed in the res bomber, mainly the cost of the generics and the failure of Deflective plating. additional rng does not a fun time make
I think that cross formation and cobalt will end up being the strongest combo in this box with some t70s or another bomber. I think Poe/Jess pava/Cobalt leader will end up being the replacement to Biggs/Corran builds. Those boosted shots from the bomber and jess would be really solid. I also believe that use of black one could for once be very helpful to the survival of poe's formation. With the recent FAQ, I think that the meta is pretty open and this seems at least fun and viable for now.
More evidence that the EPT on the Scrubb's was $&#@ing horse$#&@.
Advanced optics 2 points wtf m8. Poe love it but QD will also make good use of it to buff his missile alpha.

Crossfire helps when you're defending, not attacking.
Although it should be noted that it doesn't require the other resistance ship to be a Bomber, or even in arc of your attacker
It is going to make a Bomber with a stored up focus token hard to kill, though.
Cobalt Leader paired up with Nym could do some dirty tricks; lob a bomb into the enemy lines, stop it detonating and Cobalt has effectively got a +1 dice turret.
A wedge of these things could be very nasty to try and joust with:
A pattern-drop of three charges gives a fairly emphatic "get out of my way"
Of course in reality you'd probably take bomblet generator for one of those.

it's also not that great, though, considering the platform it is on
the res bomber is an actual, specialized bomber --> the only "special" thing it does with bombs is trajectory simulator --> going to have a **** of a time setting up both Crossfire Formation and not hitting friendlies with your own bomb
since the only resistance ships are these guys and T-70s, which are arc dependent and not chuncky enough to ignore guaranteed damage, it's going to be more finicky to enable than we think

I was referring to the -agi with cobalt

drop-on-reveal bombs won't be around to provide any benefit when the dice start flying, unless you also have rebel nym
ACTION bombs are going to suck on these things because they don't have anything to assist them with dropping them, plus they're fat-*** large bases that are four times as likely to overlap ships/obstacles and therefore lose their action. It also only benefits a ship with a ****, barely modified 2-dice PWT
I love -agility, but this thing sucks
Edited by ficklegreendiceOK, now do the new Tie!

Agreed. If you want to pattern-drop the bombs it's probably a job for massed bombers, but their lack of a K-turn is going to hurt. Deflective Plating means you can afford to dump bombs 'danger close' if you need to, though.
Still; Trajectory simulator does what we thought - Deathrain has another favourite toy (even if he doesn't get his barrel roll)

trajectory simulator is probably going on "Genius" Nym to enable Jostero and some truly disgusting alpha strikes

Minefield Mapper?
1 minute ago, Stay On The Leader said:Minefield Mapper?
jank city
problem here is the only extra munitions is a Bomb upgrade, so you're either only getting 1 MM template or you're not going to have any bombs to use after MM
and it really can't be stressed enough how awful this ship is if it isn't bombing
