Nebulon B hard to fly and keep alive but such a good utility ship. It can do so much for your fleet for relatively cheap.
Terrible Things That You Think Are Good
Interdictors and Raiders, love them. Sato and a swarm of Hawks, so looking forward to running this again once the MC75 is out.
I have been known as the chief Garm-vangelist...

I've been using Bossk a lot lately and just added him to my CC campaign fleet.
Pair him with Zertek to get him a little scratched. Then the guaranteed accuracy is so useful against scatter aces. He has also won me 2 games by chasing down TCR90s after they make an attack runs on my ships and then try to limp away. The accuracy hits the redirect and then it is just a matter of time.
Ozzel, Tagge, Devastator, Interdictor, Raider, Ackbar Pelta, Pulse-tapping (though my method is different than Darth Sanguis, as instead of another ship I like to side arc with Screed on an OLP ISD2 Avenger, then follow up with the front arc). Not quite as powerful as BTAvenger on a 1, but can still take out most mediums with relative ease (and from medium range instead of close)

I'm just not sold on selling out that ion slot on the DPS. Rerolls with LS or guaranteed damage with SW7s to maximize the hurt. I suppose the ease of having it all in one could make up for not having the guaranteed hits, just not sold. But it's good to see other PT jankmasters out there! ![]()
Garm is my go-to Admiral. The amount of tokens he can hand out to your fleet, combined with other upgrades that can change tokens or shuffle them around, can make him an extremely versatile commander. 75% of the the time, when I am fleet building, Garm is chosen.

Needa/TRC helps make the damage output more consistent, and if you are lucky enough to hit the side-crit naturally you have Screed for the front arc shot. Or DTT for cheaper (yet no guarantee of damage)

Needa TRCs is my jam ;D
A lot of people think a religious cult that mind controls people, tried to depose a democratically ellected leader for being part of a different religion and abducts children is good.
but from my point of view the jedi are evil.

One of these days, someone else will try it and realize how glorious that title can be
To shoot squadrons having ships at range.
EDIT: with ships!!!

It is. As glorious as hard to use properly. At last to me. I love it I just fail every time I try it.

This! So many times I’ve chosen to lay a blue/black into every squad in Avengers front arc instead of taking that three red dice shot at a ship... overlapping flak takes out the squads, and THEN blow the carriers out of the sky... especially with boarding troopers aboard, I’ll only need one ship shot anyway!
Wave 7 is going to revamp nose punch, I can feel it... So I’m holding off practicing right now.

AFFM for Imps?

I think the two Interdictors' worth of G7s is a big part of what makes nose punch work. You would hard-pressed to get both of those and an ISD-C and a sizable bombing wing all into the same list .
... but if you could... *shudder*

Here's the hint. If you can learn to think holistically, and not merely about one card, you'll figure it out.
Having taken a no squads Cluster bomb/QLT based list to a regional (I was high from worlds that year), I've come around to Cluster bombs being a situationally effective card. It works wonders as a deterrent, but it on a target you don't want squads to shoot. The main issue is it can come at the opportunity cost of other crucial defensive retrofits.
QLTs are a card that I feel is a little more practically useful. For rebels, with Toryn Farr it is an absolute killer, and works well against Yavaris to boot. That Triple AF MK II A fleet managed to wipe full squad complements off the table (Rieekan aces lists at the time), the only downside was you almost always ended up losing one AF. Was definitely fun to play though!.
I also really enjoy E-wings and Phantoms. While I havn't used E-wings outside of CC (yet), I love the flexibility they bring. I just wish the rebels had a different flight controllers platform. The phantoms, even without Sloan are a wonderful wildcard. You can't let them take the hits, but the anti-ship damage they can do has swung more than one game for me.
And lastly, Captain Jonus. I saw him a bunch after release, but his popularity seems to have cooled off in the Sloan era. If I could paint that small I would have a physical record on Jonus's TIE Bomber of all the ship kill assists he has gained. The number is several dozen by now...

That’s true... and I think he’s now using squall ever since the rhymer nerf, which means a quasar is needed as well

You can.
Because AFFM Frees you from having to Squall, and instead, you return to the FC/FCT Interdictor.
Of course, your bombing wing at that point has to be Rhymer + 2 Hard Hitters... That's all you can punch with. The rest is Gravytime.

Jonus is bonkers. I love him - he goes in nearly every Imp list that I make and he's the main reason why I run GSD-IIs sometimes.
And I wish the rebs had a better flight controllers platform, but I don't mind the AFG. Some variety would be nice though.
Alliteration.
Can you change the word 'Good' in the title to 'Terrific'?
I don't really have much to contribute. . . Does it count that I add Demo and the MC30 titles only as an afterthought? And only if I can squeeze them in? I often hear people say that GSD-Is aren't flown without the title, unless there are more than one in a list, so maybe it counts*?
