Yeah, the board clock helps make this game great. Also, it makes For Greater Glory a good card; despite being a 'win more' card.

And bidding for card draw ... and holding onto cards until the perfect moment <3

This game will win all the awards.

Got a few games in today, won some too. I'm actually really liking lion now. So now it's between lion and Phoenix. Hmmmm, who to choose?

Lion. :)

The mono no aware is really cool, they've worked it into the design very well. That's why I never get despondent during a game, no matter how bad it's going. The impermanence of things that comes from Eastern cultures is really clearly present. Very nice design.

Well, seeing as you've now got a taste for winning the obvious answer has to be Lion! A quick look at the crazily good new Lion 5-coster should remove any doubts.

Seriously though, finding Clan(s) that are a better fit for you game-play-wise is also important. I've predominantly played Phoenix since the game came out and have a ratio if something like 2 wins to 13 losses. Switched to Crab and have already won 3 of my first five games.

It helps if you can find a clan that you enjoy playing regardless as to result. I am losing a lot at the mo but as I am enjoying the games and i still get to do my thing it does not matter.

Yeah, I think lion is my clan. I've read the lore of them all, managed to play most of them and playing Lion is so much fun, and I've got some wins. So, I am officially a LION!!!

I lost a game miserably today. Generally I play Scorpion and try to be all unpredictable in terms of bidding so my opponent never feels safe in what they're selecting.

Sadly today the person I play against the most totally got inside of my OODA loop and in regard to this and I got rekt (son).

I was doing pretty horrible when I started the game, then got pretty decent. Now, with the new releases, I'm as horrible as I started...

It really does help quite a bit. Also, there are a lot of cards that can drastically change the board state (being able to play characters mid-conflict comes to mind), so the game is really much more tactical than simply building your deck and hoping it works properly.
