Double Aggressor/Phantom Never built by anyone?

By gcanders, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So my squad builder had the message "No one has ever built this before." message when I created this offshoot of my double Phantom build from 2 weeks ago. ( Edit to put in that I am fully aware that the message was just pertaining to that specific squad builder. ) I had too many problems with "Echo", so I opted to try a double Aggressor build instead of a double Phantom with 1 Aggressor. I felt confident in the build because I can fly these fairly well and not worry about misjudging Echo's 2-bank decloak, and it gives me a few more hit points. I became skeptical when I saw the "never been" message, though.

It’s probably never been built because it uses Synced Turret and Guidance Chips instead of LWF.

With Deadeye though it ain’t bad. I’d test it out, before thinking it may be bad or good.

Yeah i would say put it on the table and see you never know until you try it.

I played this yesterday. Not exactly two aggressors, but close, and it was really fun. I managed to win against Fen, harpoon Sol and harpoon Quinn Jast.

95 pt initiative does magic

I was 1-1 yesterday. First match went quick against a Special Forces Tie, Inquisitor, and another Whisper. Second match hurt going against assajj, when both my aggressors kept getting stressed and couldn’t get the focus to fire the cannons.

Kestal with Synced Turret is very bad unless you have options of getting free focus or TL's. That's simply because pilot ability urges to have a focus and Synced Turret needs TL. And on top of this, the turret itself is very bad if not the worst. There are better options for the price or even cheaper

He has Deadeye.

You could cut Kallus, and switch him to Hux. You'd have to find 3 extra points (shifting homing to cruise missiles would get two of it), but it allows you to Assign a focus to each ship (including phantom), as well as they could focus on their own in those rare cases you get stress removers, or a second option to get them a token for the stress makers that you ran into issues with.
