What are your favorite 32 point builds???

I dig me some Vader...

  • Darth Vader (29) [32]
    • x1 (0)
    • ATC (1)
    • Juke (2)

Juke Vader has a lot of firepower and survivability, especially since he shoots towards the top of the order. If you need to reposition, take an Evade. When you need to take a Target Lock, take an Evade. Helps mitigate bad green dice.

I was literally about to post the same combo for Vader myself. I think it gives you a very good mix of offense and defence, especially as with the Advanced Targeting Computer he can just leave the target lock on without the need to spend it, saving more actions for later turns.

Countess Ryad with X/7 title and A Score to Settle would also be a good option.

I have to admit when I saw it was 32pt ships my first thought immediately sprang to my favourite pilot, Luke Skywalker, with R2-D2, Integrated Astromech and Adaptability. I find he does pretty well in one-on-one situations (as long as can keep an enemy in arc).

Wedge, BB8, Integrated Astromech and Crack Shot would be a scary opponent for many ships, some arc dodging plus dropping agility to 1 or even 0 at the most opportune moment.

Tel Trevura, Feedback Array and Trick Shot would be an interesting choice.

I like generics, so these two are kinda my favorites right now:

Delta Squadron Pilot (32) - TIE Defender
TIE/D (0), Flechette Cannon (2)

Black Sun Assassin (32) - StarViper
Expertise (4), StarViper Mk.II (-3), Stealth Device (3)

Edited by Kieransi

My favorite 33pt ship in a 100pt list is

  • Kavil
  • PTL
  • Unhinged mech
  • Vectored Thrusters
  • Dorsal Turret

I could switch him to Lone Wolf if its allowed or VI for PS 9 with a bid if its not. He is sneaky fast and wants you to chase him and can use the barrel roll to control range and has a lot of hull to chew through.

This is awesome! Thanks everyone for your input! I've shared this with my friends and my LGS and they are all scrambling to come up with 32 point builds. These are all fantastic builds and I love the balance of factions represented here.

Also, lone wolf should always be allowed. There's already a point restriction, so why not allow for it?

I'd try the following.:

Miranda - Bomblet Generator, Chopper, LRS

or

Genesis Red - VI, Heavy Scyk, HLC, Hull Upgrade.

Good old times:

Fenn Rau (28)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Autothrusters (2)
Concord Dawn Protector (1)

Total: 32

Now obvisouly my favorite does not work for your tournament, so just use the old king or Fenn Rau with Vi:

Soontir Fel (27)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)

Total: 32

Talonbane Cobra — Kihraxz Fighter 28

With the Vaksai title, Vet instincts would be free, so just wondering if there was a reason you went Adaptability instead of VI? Also slap a free munitions failsafe on there while you're at it just in case you miss. Cobra is one of my favorite pilots even before the title.

Oh thank goodness I was seriously worried I was going to make it to page 2 of a 32pt duel topic and have had no-one mention Soontir Freakin' Fel! ?

No one has thought about Quickdraw?!?!?!

Quickdraw (29)

Adaptability

LWF

Title

Collision Detector

Primed Thrusters

I'm more shocked no one's thought about the Inquisitor.

The Inquisitor + Push the Limit + Autothrusters + TIE/v1 [31]

If people want to play around with the new-and-improved starviper:

  • Thweek
    • Starviper MkII
    • Virago
    • Fire Control System
    • Cloaking Device
    • Autothrusters

OK, to spice things up: Has anybody an Idea if there would be a viable 2 ship list possible?

A focus, evade, and reinforce token every turn.

EI is action upgrades only.

I would probably run this :D

Good chance of volleying a single ship opponent off the board in the opening engagement.

As a token Rebels show player I unfortunately can't bring my favourite Ghost but here is my secondary picks:

Hera Attack Shuttle

Veteran Instincts

Autoblaster Turret

Navigator

Engine Upgrade

TOTAL:32 points

As long as you go last you will always be able to change your dial and either barrel roll or boost to get close for an autoblaster or get out of arcs.

For another fun Rebels build try Sabine, Push the Limit, Ion Turret and Kanan

To balance it out with some super-fun Imperials tech:

Deathrain with Advanced sensors and Bomblet Generator

One of my favorites.

Ibtisam (28)
E2 Expanded B-Wing (1)
Hera Syndulla (1)
Wired (1)
Collision Detector (0)

Total: 31

With the release of XG1: add Linked Cannons (2) and then replace Wired with Trick Shot.

Total: 32

I wouldn't bring this to a 1-on-1 fight (because there's no repositioning and you wouldn't bring a low PS ship to such a fight [barring turrets]--you've got nothing going for you if your opponent can just get behind you every turn), but this is a good 31/32-point ship to shove into a list. It doesn't care about bumping, getting stressed, getting jammed, and hardly cares about asteroids (and with Linked Cannons/Trick Shot replacing Wired, asteroids become your friend).

A Gunner/Vader Lambda shuttle is only 29 points, so you could probably add FCS and a Jamming beam to that. You'd auto-win against ships with 4 or less hull, but lose to just about everything else. Along the same vein an Upsilot Shuttle with FCS is also 32 points.

Omega Leader is going to be crazy-stupid powerful, especially since you can afford either an Engine or Shield upgrade on her with the points available.

A Kashyyk Defender can reliably block 3 damage a turn with R2-D2 and C-3P0 crew, and as such pretty much auto-wins against a lot of lists.

However, I think Thweek has to take the top spot, with the titles, Autothrusters and FCS he has a 2 point initiative bid, and so will probably move last in every game. He has good action economy and defense, and that barrel roll gives him absurd arc-dodging powers.

Just did a 10 person tournament... winning list was:

Backdraft - VI, fcs, title, lwf

2nd was thweek - both titles, fcs, autothrusters, 2pt bid.

The problem with cruise missiles is that Intensity-Jake REALLY doesn’t want to targetlock, plus, flying fast and getting close is a lot easier than flying fast and staying far away.

I’ve been flying this version of Jake a lot lately in regular lists, and hot dang it is fun to fly! In case someone out there hasn’t seen it in action yet, your typical turn consists of something like this:

1. take a focus action

2. Jake’s ability lets you barrel roll

3. Exhaust Intensity to get a free focus token

4. Jake’s ability lets you boost

Double reposition AND two focus tokens. And if you don’t need all of that you can Intensity for an evade instead of the second reposition action.

How about a less elegant but more brutal Farrell?

Fully modded 5reds could very well cripple your opponent in the 1st Round.
