I mean he is so OP with escort, it distorts the meta and we all know he needs a nerf
Remove Escort from Darth Vader, that will bring him back down to power level.
hey, it was worth a try as that is the only way FFG will ever change a card if enough people get on the forums and subreddit to complain and call for a nerf.
I don't really see the problem. Darth is a double brace escort with 5 hull. Very similar to Wedge, Luke and Biggs and only a point or two more. He is more Killy I suppose but not too much for the points.
Zertek Storm is better, for only 15 points you get the same defence properties as Vader. A bargain even if you never use the reroll ability.

I don't care what they do to Vader as a squadron. You can't use him and Vader as your commander, and that's a big deal because Vader is one of the best commanders in the game.

For those that don't get the joke it is a request for a secret buff. Vader is good but with the weakest (second only to single brace from decimators) defense tokens and no scatter there is no way to protect him so he just dies.
*So removing Escort would be more of a Buff, but don't tell FFG that.

Luke and Vader should both have a scatter, with their force premonition and all.
He shoulda have scatter.
Double scatter for good measure.

Kanan in the Ghost has Scatter and Brace, so why not.
I think Escort on Vader is backwards. The should drop Escort on Vader and he should give Escort to any friendly squadron with Swarm within range 1.
I think he should have Scatter/Brace instead of Brace/Brace.

When you see the attack run in the Death Star trench, it makes sense. Vador shouldn't have Escort for any reason, but be the last one being targetable
The root problem of this is us trying to justify why Vader dies first, when clearly we see a horde of underlings in Black Squadron bite it, and Vader is the only survivor.
Heck... You can have Black Squadron and Vader right next to each other and Vader can still die first.
Just remember if FFG cared about lore too much, Mauler Mithel would have escort...
Vader squadron is fine for me bit Vader commander (Tarkin too) should cost less maybe 30-32

How are either Luke or Vader even flying down the trench? They are engaged and shouldn't be able to move.

That'd only allow Darth Vader to move. Because it'd make Luke heavy, as it is part of Vader's fleet.

Yeah, and Wedge has Grit. He is the only one able to move out from the fight, but only triggered when he suffers 1 dmg.
