Was a great event.
Edited by Boom OwlI’m intrigued, how did they manage 14 players for the cut? Did players get byes?
Are we really back to Parattanni meta?
It’s funny they nerf mindlink and jumps and look we got finial table with two mindlink lists and a JumpMaster in one.
Although I think Fenn and asajj being awesome ships also helps mindlink and scouts stay relevant
Nym gets nerfed, and Fenn comes back with a vengeance. I guess the Genius thing was a bigger deal than I thought.
could Defenders make a comback? What about imperial aces?

Bumpmaster, fenn rau and asajj stress will eat them imo

Is it over? Finals match?

And I don't see any problem at all. You do nerf to make things balanced, not to make them useless.
I don't see anything wrong with those lists making a final cut. Both players were good so everything is fine.
I have much more hate for Wookie junk - it is ugly, it is from prequels and it doesn't care about arcs. This thing I would nerf to the ground gladly.

Sure, not a really pretty ship.
Isn't actually from the prequels. Is in Star Wars REBELS, which takes place in the Galactic Civil War era, so you'll have to hate it for something other than that (because hating it for being in the prequels is perfectly reasonable otherwise).
And it cares about arc more than a turret or mobile arc ship does, I can tell you that much.
reinforce is probably too good, but the simple fix to triple wookies if they get out of hand is easy... make tactician unique.

Jumpmaster case showed that way of nerfing ships by nerfing cards that are popular on them is not a good way to fix things...

The better solution would be to make reinforce a "unique" action that can only be performed by a single ship per round. Making tactician unique unnecessarily neuters its use in other squadrons where it isn't a problem.
And wookies do fine even without tactician.

Then nerf reinforce to adding a green dice instead of an evade and be done with it. A rebel ship with 2 crew and ept should cost much more to begin with.

'Cause R2-F2 is so hot right now.

Some defenders and aces did really well in the Dutch Nationals. A bit off topic, but still hopeful.

Does it cost 0 points and 0 slots?

The funny thing is, tactician wookies is the reason attanni is back, lol. To counter stress. Wookies now need to adapt to parrattanni. You will be seeing double wookiee + friend from now on. Maybe a kwing bomber friend.

Well if you payed attention to my whole post I do say it’s mostly because Fenn and asajj are super good, and yes I’m glad you can utilize mindlink still, you just have to be more creative with it now. Mindlink allows Fenn and asajj to fit with a partner and keep great action economy. I feel like every element of parattanni makes it great, not just one card.
And really me saying it’s funny that it’s at the top tables was pointed towards the people who claimed it dead, but ever since even the leak I knew you could still use it to great effect after the nerf.

1. you'll have to tell me about all those other 2+ tactician squads.
2. I'm ok with them doing fine.
What's the triple Wookiee list?

Wookiee Liberator + Expertise + Tactician + Breach Specialist [33] x3
There are variants which do away with some of the Breach Specialists to make room for Lowie.

1. They don’t need to exist for it to be “ok” to make it unique. The fact that they can exist and don’t is reason enough to realize that the problem is not multiple copies of tactician in a list but instead the ship.
2. Ok so your issue is with Tactician and not the wookiees then, no? Or at least tactician on Wookiees?

My main issue is with reinforce, but the biggest issue is that the game has become more about creating crazy combos... which imps can't do by design.
ept, 2 crew, 9 damage on a ship with white hards and a 180 arc... for 28pts what could go wrong?
