I have seen a few comments about that Toryn doesnt really help with flak as black dice already have 0.75% chance of 1 damage, identical to Toryn boosted blues....
The following pictures are based on the:
Green:
Expected damage is <0.75, this range is considered safe and will not kill an Tie Fighter over the course of a game
Yellow
: Expected damage is >0.75, this range is relatively safe but will kill an Tie Fighter if given enough time (3-4 turns)
Mustard/ light orange
:Expected damage is about 1.5, a little more severe then yellow
Orange:
expected damage 2.25, not safe, a Tie Fighter will probably be killed in two turns
Red
: expected damage 3, dangerous, a Tie Fighter will likely die in a single turn at this range
Dark red:
expected damage 3.75+, Very dangerous
Unarmed GR75:
Combat GR75 without Toryn
Combat GR75 with Toryn
Two Combat GR75's either side of a unarmed GR75 hosting Toryn
Just look at the ranges on those, and the killing zone created.
