Also on topic coinciding with the release of The Last Jedi me and my friend have taken a week off work and are going to have at least one 1200pts game.

This Sunday I'm attending a 200pt alt format that I am particularly excited for. Unfortunately I cannot attend the preceeding 400pt tournament on Saturday due to work.

With Armada in such a healthy game state, being able to fly whatever I want is also particularly pleasing.

I m selling my Armada stuff to buy some Legend of the 5 Rings crap...

Custom format, no commanders, 1 medium/small ship. No squadrons limit. 3x3 play area.

Got to play 2 good games of Armada tonight. Lost the first, won the second. Got an email saying my shapeways order has shipped. Have a four-day weekend next week and plenty of painting to do.

I have this crazy notion of trying to launch massive-point games out of my FLGS to see for myself how the game looks at high point levels.

Epic, is the word I would use to describe it. Especially if you have mainly large or medium bases.

I'm sure they are, but I'm not sure 1 Cr90 and 150+ points of squadrons is my idea of fun. see what i mean?

Im running a Raider I and as many decimators as i can get my hands on :p. It's certainly not for everyday play, but they're fun for an occasional divergence and keep the game fresh.

It sounds like X-Wing epic but better cause it is in Armada. Though I would want to have the option of a second small ship if I take a small ship.

I kinda like the idea of a Nebulon and CR-90 or Hammerhead fighting out an Interdictor and escorting fighters.

If you like a more standard experience, try the Taskforce Armada format? Everything is standard. Commander required, squadron limit 1/3. etc.

Yea I get that. But I wasn't really mentioning the standard experience. I mean having just 150+ points of squadrons can be crazy sometimes. But it also sounds like it can be fun once in a while.

It really was. Much lower stakes (not that the Armada community is generally obtuse by any means) but way more joking around and ridiculous lists.
