Any on playing this on Xbox, most of my group I play with online are not jumping in so I thought I would see if there is any one else out there
Off Topic: Battlefront 2 on Xbox...
I thought about buying it at one point, but I’m tired of EA’s shenanigans. I won’t be buying from them anytime soon.
I'm in all the way. I've had it since tuesday and I love it.
I Wanted to buy It too, the game looks fun and Good. But pay to win is not my cup of tea. I Hope theyll realise their 'mistake'. Tons of People cancelled their purchase bec of this.

They removed microtransactions. No more P2W.

Oh, did they? I think its too late.
I really don't think so.
I've been playing it for 3 days now, the multiplayer is full up, and that's just the players that got the deluxe edition.
You have to consider who writes these ratings, some 2,000 who were likely ALREADY mad at EA enough to drop the score(without playing the game), of those 2,000 how many had actually planned on buying the game? How many people actually pulled away? Based on the gameplay, the multitude of players I've encountered as well as EA's willingness to listen on this project compared to past ventures, I ain't concerned.
This is the same kind of fanatic rating bull that happened with "yelp" and it doesn't actually mean anything.

They removed them *for now*.
I've been following the sh1t storm on Reddit. Very poorly played by EA.
I am compelled to like any post with a South Park Reference.
It's a good sign for the game that you're giving it such high praise. I hope they stick to the no pay to win thing but I'm too skeptical of EA to pick it up without them proving it first. It would be just like them to add pay to win later when they've already gotten people to buy in.
I got it for PC. Not early access or the like. I played the open beta. Really liked it.
I'm terrible at video games anyways, so I won't notice a difference if someone is killing me because they're suped up or they're just better than me. I'm going to just likely be dead.
So far its been awesome, I'm not the best, but I haven't faced anyone who was really so glaringly amazing that it seemed they paid to win.
Edit: sent a few PMs with my Gamertag, if anyone else plays, let me know and send me a gamertag so I can add.

Temporarily. They can and will put them back in at a later date.

Here's the issue.
Microtransactions are the result of corporate greed as much as they are an evolving gaming market.
First and foremost is the cost of development. The cost to make a game has skyrocketed since the 2000s. Graphics, programming, marketing, connectivity, everything is much more complicated. Yet the price point of a video game hasn't changed since the games looked like this:
Now games are being released at the same cost but have mush higher standards and require a ton more work to produce:
So as hurt as everyone is about micropays, here's some bad freaking news. They're the way of the future. Companies like EA have thrived because it's a system the WORKS. They can dish out high dev costs, dev costs that couldn't be paid off by a standard "59.99" pricepoint because of this system.
I hate to say this, because it's definitely aggro, but if you're someone who's been complacent with the $59 pricepoint, you're part of the problem. As much as EA is a "monster" they are a result of the environment they're striving to profit from.

Given whats going on in Europe, I wouldn't be surprised if they did away with the randomness and made packs pre-designed.
I think they want to tread lightly, this isn't like Mass Effect which is their IP, this is Disney's, and if Disney doesn't see the fan base as being happy, they will easily hand the licence to someone else. Disney is very protective of its IP and its appearance, it doesn't want controversy over its new golden egg, I wouldnt be suprised if the decision wasn't EA but Disney's.

Pardon me if I don’t weep for EA. The only complacency I see is the gamers who have allowed parasitical micro transactions to become so widespread and disgusting.
The thing is, I don’t begrudge players shelling out a few bucks for some special skins, or even rare equipment if it isn’t to egregious.
Putting major assets behind a paywall is, and EA needs to be sent a message. You are going to far.
They said they are taking micro-transactions out until a later date which is completely bogus.
They are looking to recoup short term profits and then likely reintroduce them after the holidays. EA is a despicable company, and they're learning the hard way that you don't fk with Star Wars. I hope the internet continues to apply pressure because what EA is doing will continue to erode the gaming industry.
If anyone here has not purchased the game yet, I would strongly urge them not to.
Titanfall 2 is a great example of this. The pay add ons are complement the game and are cosmetic. Pretty much every game I play I see prime titans running around. If it was not for the fact I prefer the original titans I would have bought some

You don't have to weep for them, just don't be a mindless drone whinging on about micropays while expecting AAA standards.
I'm going too far? The **** did I do? Explain to you how the gaming market works? Rude.
They're a business that dishes out cash for development costs to make money. Someone's gotta pay, this system has proven most effective. Doesn't mean I like it, but I also don't like the idea of $120 games.
If you hate microtransactions so much you have 2 choices:
1.) come up with a better way for publishers to get paid for multi-million dollar investments
2.) Stop gaming.

Pretty sure he meant EA was going too far and needed to be sent that message.

No, the You I was referring to was EA not you Darth Sanguis.
I don’t thing it’s whinging to hold EA to the same standard as other triple A developers. When I bought Skyrim or Fallout 4, I got a complete game. When you buy a Nintendo game, you get a complete game. This isn’t about EA needing the money. It’s about Greed.
As for the choices presented, I have chosen to longer do business with EA, and do business with publishers that put out full games.

This makes me so indigenous.

I don't care if people get indigenous, I'll crap all over their games. I'm the one who's indigenous that this game even exists.
There is no doubt in my mind that the intent behind the EA statement is to mislead the public as to the state of the progression system. It is highly disingenuous to say that "all progression will be earned through gameplay". Clearly, it's only temporary as crystals will be introduced at a later time. People online are already making the quantum leap to say that EA is only going to allow us to buy cosmetics in the future with said in game currency. Hopefully the internet stays vigilant because we really need to send EA a message by refraining from purchasing until we see concrete changes.
I cancelled my preorder and won’t be buying this. EA is a terrible company and I hope the game bombs. Disney needs to give the license to another game company.
I'll admit I real tired of paying for thier beta multiplayer testing Titianfall 1 the last battlefront. Those were full priced games that just turned out to be multiplayer betas for their better versions soon after
