Happy Friday Wave 12 is alright so far

Im more irritated at how long it will take to get my 3 Gunboats and a silencer. No point in collecting the rest imo. I got too many ships to play already.

Imperial ship? buy 2-3, almost always have a use for that many (large ship aside and SF turned out to be a bad idea to get 3 of lol)
Nonimperial? Buy1 for completeness and cards, probably fly it once in awhile.

I just find very few nonimperial ships work with duplicate ship lists. Ywings, Awings, Fangs, and Scyks are all that i feel work with more of the same type of ship quite well without requiring a very specific, often niche list.

On topic of the mechs: what is it with FFG being oddly "safe' with astromechs? That has to have the MOST utter trash upgrades among all the slots with only a handful that are truely useful. I mean, they cant really make it worse than R2D2 without being blatantly obvious they were trying to make the most broken droid ever, right? Chopper is the only new mech i see getting use and tbh only on a Ywing because of all the mass of freebie discards (title, EM, bomb loadout, seismic, gchips or lrs = 6 things for Chopper to do his thing for....for 4pts....)

Most Astros are quite old. Probably that's why.

Looks like there's some interesting new mechanics in Wave 12. Reload probably should have been in the game since the beginning. The Bullseye arc could do great things for the X-Wing or A-Wing. The Trajectory Simulator + Bomblet Generator might make the Punisher worth taking.

Sheathipede... I'm gonna buy a couple of them. But I think they're overpriced for both what they do in the Ghost and what they can do as standalone ships. I like them a lot- conceptually. I'm not sure they're 3 points better than a Z-95.

The Silencer, though. That's the one I'm most exited for. It doesn't look to have any new mechanics per se. But it's a cheaper TIE Defender. Significantly cheaper. That's... That has me interested. A cheaper TIE Defender with an Interceptor dial, tech slot, _and_ system slot? Wow.

The other interesting thing about this Wave: only 1 ship (the Silencer) has an Agility value over 2. And only 2 ships (the Silencer and the Kimogila) have attack values of over 2. To my mind, this is a _very_ good thing. The game is just healthier when there are lots of 2/1 ships flying about.

Any chance this wave is out on Black Friday? Amazon and some other online places are listing it as a Jan release though.
