The Corvus (Imperial)

By Celestial Lizards, in X-Wing

Imgur isn't working right now, so I have to type it all out.

Corvus (3 points, unique): When an enemy ship discards an upgrade card or is destroyed, you may perform a free action.

Iden Versio: (1 point, unique): After an enemy ship suffers critical damage from a primary weapon attack, you may recover 1 shield (up to your shield value).

ID-10 (2 points, unique): ACTION: Choose an enemy ship at range 1-2. If it has no focus, evade, or blue target lock tokens, that ship suffers 1 damage.

Thoughts?

Anti-Fighter Battery (7 points, double hardpoint): 4 attack, range 1-4, 5 energy. Spend 5 energy from this card to perform this attack against 3 small ships or 1 large ship. After this attack hits, suffer one damage.

Thoughts?

Anti fighter battery is horrible. Why would you ever use that? It's expensive, takes up two slots, takes up a lot of energy.. Just having different weapons on the raider is better.

ID-10 is fine, but it's a bit cheeky for me... does it fly to the other ship to do some shenaningans or what? It's also very mean on High PS.

Iden will sit in my phantom for Sure.

what about the hanger it has?

only good pic of the location i could find was from later in the storyline, but i doubt the rebellion changed the location of it from the imperial version.

i'd say a "limit one" weapons hardpoint (or hardpoint+cargo) upgrade that allows you to carry and deploy 2 small base fighters.

if you could figure out how to word it so the CR-90 could take it but not the Gozanti or C-ROC, even better.

Something like

Service Hangar
Corvette (Aft) only
(Cargo)
You may dock up to 2 Small ships of the same type to this ship.
Cost 4

Corvus Alliance Refit - Rebel Only

Adds +4 additional Hull

Adds + 3 Additional Shield

Able to perform a 1-Boost

????

You sure you want a death star super laser with that?

No no, thats only after the rebels storm the bridge of the Eclipse and reverse engine the super laser. Eventually Alliance technicians will create a smaller less mass destructive one, and put it on Raider Corvettes to snipe Star Destroyer Shields away, with a follow up shot to the bridge. We havent got that far in the campaign yet.

-3 squad points.

So nobody's going to get on the other CL for emphasizing Imperial as if to imply there is a Rebel one. Like, nothing against you CL you're fine but... Nobody's gonna get on that? But they'll get on me for a box they clicked.

That said I just wanna say that there's no way in **** The Corvus could have ever fit two TIE Fighters inside itself. A pair of X-Wings, totally, but there's NO way it could do two TIEs, they're just too tall.

You opened Pandora's box. It's out there. Nothing to do about it. Eat what you cooked.

Doesn't it hold TIEs in the beginning of the game?

I think his point is that, based on how tall a Raider is actually supposed to be, there should be no way to fit TIE Fighters inside it. They do in the game, but that's because the one in the game isn't to the correct scale.

X-Wings yes, because they fold up into a relatively flat shape.

Bingo! Also the one in the game is actually to the correct scale.

It's like a **** TARDIS. They're supposed to be in hangars between the Corvus' panels but that just DOES NOT WORK.

Would be cool though. Especially since the TAP isn't allowed on the Gozanti. . .

would suggest either hardpoint+cargo, or double cargo.. for balance reasons.

which is weird since we see one dock with the Gozanti in the final episode of season 1.

Negative.

I've been run over by that bus before. ;)

Yeah that right there is my favorite TFA concept art. I WISH we could have gotten TIES that did that, dude.

They would still look like normal TIEs, but yeah, it's a cool concept.

If a Nebulon-B Frigate can carry 24 TIEs, half a dozen shuttles and a partridge in a pear tree, the Raider can carry a couple TIEs. Star Wars magic will see to it.

Double cargo doesn't work for the Raider, since it doesn't have two cargo slots in any of its sections, and you equip upgrades to particular sections.
Mixed double slots doesn't work either, because upgrades are of one type (what shows on the back of the card). Also, I don't think carrying two fighters deserves losing a hardpoint on a 100 points ship.
I think squad point cost should be enough balancing factor.

Nebulon-Bs allegedly carried fighters docked on pylons (like the Gozanti) mounted on the spindly mid section.

24 of them though... They've gotta be close packed nonetheless.

It was an X-Wing / TIE Fighter thing. The Nebulons in those games had honking hangars that could fit stuff. Somehow.
