Last week, I took part in a grueling three player melee game between a Martell deck, a Lannister deck with Alchemist's Guild Hall and a lot of other shadows cards, and a Targaryen deck with a lot of burn/recursion. Both the Martell and the Lannister decks ran Valar (and Targ had Threat from the North). It was a brutal game where after the first five turns or so characters usually did not last more than one turn on the board (and those that did were usually knelt down by the Guild Hall). We eventually had to call the game due to time. However, there were points in the game where it seemed like no one was going to make any forward progress towards winning. That was the first time I had ever thought about what would happen if all players exhausted their decks. My first reaction was "oh, I guess it's a draw then," but then I remembered about Dominance. In such a deckless situation, the game would come down to winning dominance (based in part on flipping higher income plots than your opponents). I was just curious - has anyone ever had a game come down to this "plot flipping game?"
The plot flipping game
I've gotten decked twice... in both cases the opponent won.
1. Once I decked myself with a martel crazy draw deck vs. Threat From the East deck (Mainn). He was winning anyhow.
2. I played a 45 card Greyjoy deck against a Greyjoy mill deck... not good.
"Once I decked myself" that's an amazing feat of dexterity. How bad did it hurt?
