Some questions... Timing of BB8, Push The Limit, Stress, PS Draws, turning 180º and touch ships

By Erion_Fett, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Yeah, I know this is an Slowpoke question, but i have some questions regarding BB8, mainly. I haven't played against rebels so much, so when I saw it, i started to have some doubts. Also, I only play casual, so I had recent doubts, maybe because of playing with different people in different ways.

1) You can do the BB8 Barrel roll if you are stressed? (and you don't have Primed thrusters). How is the order?

1. Show dial.

2. Remove Stress.

3. Check BB8 trigger.

Or.

1. Show dial.

2. Check BB8 trigger.

3. Remove Stress.

2) When you do a free action (as BB8 Barrel roll, for example) you can trigger Push the limit?

If you do this, (in the case of BB8+PTL) then do the Green move AND you remove your stress? That is 3 actions on 1 without stress. I have this doubt also with other free actions like Turr Phennir.

3) When a Ship is doing a Red Maneuver which Turns it 180º, and it touches another ship during this process. It turns? It does not turn but receive stress?

4) PS Draws. I have my PS9 Talonbane Cobra, and 2 PS2 Cartel marauder, against a PS9 Han Solo and PS6 Kyle Katarn. My oponent wins the initiative. That means that Han Solo will move AND shoot before Talonbane, no?. The order of move should be: 1) 2 Cartel Marauders, 2) Kyle, 3) Han, 4) Talonbane. And the order of Shooting: 1) Han. 2)Talonbane, 3) Kyle, 4) Cartel Marauders.

If Han destroys Talonbane in a round, can Talonbane attack?

1: Check Pilot Stress is part of Execute Manouevre. BB8 happens first.

2: Yes and yes.

3: It bumps facing the direction it was gaoin before the flip, and gains stress.

4: Yes and yes.

I suggest having a read of the Learn to PLay guide and Rules Reference again; points 3 and 4 are clearly delineated therein.

1. BB-8 does not work if you are stressed since you cannot make a barrel roll action while stressed (Primed thrusters being the exception), and BB-8 triggers before the stress is cleared.

4. Anytime two effects occur at the same time, the player with initiative will always resolve his effect first. This can be when both players have pilots with the same pilot skill activating at the same time, when both players have effects that trigger at the same time in a game round (start of combat phase, end of activation phase, etc.), when two ships trigger effects at the same time (A defender executes a maneuver with TIE/x7 and lands in front of a ship with snapshot.)

If a ship is destroyed by another ship with the same pilot skill and initiative, they still get a shot due to the simultaneous attack rule.

Thanks for the aclarations! I also checked the Rules Reference for this.
