Vile Sorceress - how does she qualify as a Sniping Unit??

By Wytefang, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Just wondering how the Vile Sorceress qualifies as a Sniping Unit? It doesn't say that she puts "Damage" on anyone - just that they have 1 less hit-point. So she wouldn't combo up with very many things at all.

What do people think? I welcome any and all feedback on this. :)

She kills quite a few of those early, weaker Units: Warrior Priests, Spider Riders, Runesmith etc. Also, only need 1 damage on something like Reiksguard Knights and VS zaps them. Drop 3 VS into play demonio.gif . As I understand, sniping isn't just about doing damage, it's about controlling (usually by limiting) the number of opponent's Units in play, VS plays her role nicely.

She is literally THE best sniping unit in the game so far. Her ability doesn't cost resources, she is cheap to bring into play (4 total resources without loyalty), she provides an additional draw power of 1, she has 2 Hit Points, her ability kills 1 HP units, and best of all her ability goes through damage cancellation since it isn't damage.

She is great at softening up tough units, 1 hit knockouting single HP units, or sniping off damaged units with 1 HP remaining.

i've hit on using her with we need your blood to snipe enemy units, an evil way to pump your units while weakening thiers and getting round such things as counter strike and toughness

But for the purposes of playing Call the Blood, you can't consider the -1 HPs afflicted by We Need Your Blood as Damage, correct? It's just 1 less HP...otherwise they would have called it damage specifically. Just want to be sure on this one.

No, -1HP is certainly not the same as 1 damage.

Okay, whew! That's what I thought!

i find 3 vs, and 3 cal the blood makes choas players and thier blood thristers cry! especially if applied to thanqual ;)

Like others have said there's plenty of 1 health units from every faction currently around. Loved nothing more than to take out the dwarf opponent health 1 power 3 units. Grudge thrower I think it was.
