Ok, I am wondering where this is Starbase(?) is? What is its name? I thought I was fairly well versed in my Star Wars ... Is it from a video game?

It’s from the Edge of the Empire core rulebook, so I’m assuming it was created by the artist for that book, and doesn’t really have a backstory. Most of the pictures in that book are just fanciful and intriguing pictures of the Star Wars universe that let you imagine whatever you want about them.

I just saw it pop up in a few places , so I thought it maybe a Canon or Legends actual location.

Yeah, definitely, I wondered that as well when I first saw it in the EotE books. To me it reminds me a bit of the city where they find the Collector in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie (although I could be mistaken, as I only saw that movie twice). I don’t really remember any secret bases or cities built in asteroids in the older video games, but if it helps, EotE is pre-Disney, so if it’s a real thing, it has to be Legends.

Looks kind of like the rings of kafrene from rogue one. But definitely some differences.

It reminds me of the Vergesso asteroid base in X-Wing Alliance , though this one's a bit more built up.

Maybe star wars galaxies? They have reused that stuff a lot.

I'm pretty sure Tansarii Point was an actual station rather than an asteroid, but I might be remembering it wrong.

Gamma Station that was next to it was built into an asteroid.
