120pt Team List - Rebel edition

We've got a 2v2 tourney coming up next weekend and 120pts (60 each) of rebel goodness to build with. I'm thinking something that will be simple for us to fly (we're both relatively scrubbish), but competitive enough to win some matches.

At our disposal we've got both core sets, Ghost expansion, HotR expansion, sabine's TIE, 2xHWK's, K-wing, E-wing, A-wing, B-wing (rebels and their alphabet ships?!), U-wing, Y-wing, Z95 aaaaand the Rebel Transport expansion.

Since I'm an Imperial player, I'm not sure what to do with this crazy Rebel ships.

Would love some suggestions and ideas!

Yep, two 60pt lists

RULES:
1. This is a team tournament, so join forces with a fellow pilot!
2. 60 points per PERSON will be allotted for squadron building.
3. Each player can field no more than TWO ships.
4. Both members of each team must field the same faction.
5. A team cannot field two or more cards that share the same unique name.

Given the restriction of a maximum of 4 ships, I'd be tempted to go for 3 regenerating ones: Miranda, Poe or Corran, and a cheaper X or Y with the other regen droid on board.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines, since we can't "swarm" it out with some fun genarics or cheaper aces.

So you have a max of 2 ships, but you could take a single ship at 60 points?

If so, Rey is potent. Expertise, Finn, Kanan, and HOR title is 58. That'd be space for a Snuggling Compartment + 2pt Illicit, or just a bid. Her in-arc shots are positively truck-like, and out-of-arc she's still strong. If you're worried about Kylo (he's not that common where I play; others have a different experience), take Determination here, and add something like Countermeasures. Rey is still good if she only gets a single focus token, but better if you don't have to worry about ISYTDS.

If you have to bring exactly two ships in each 60 point list, consider a Zeb Attack Shuttle with Chopper crew, and a Lothal Rebel with the title, TLT, Collision Detector, and Wookiee Commandos (borrow one from a more-established rebel player at the tourney, or just get the Auzituck since it's SOOOO good). Evade every turn on the Ghost (TL if they won't have any shots), and fire away with 4 TLT shots. Wookiees is the equivalent of half-a-focus per attack, which isn't that good on a single attack, but if you attack four times, it becomes like you've got two focus and an evade each turn. That's pretty solid action economy. Plus, it's a straightforward ship to fly, just circle the board and keep pelting and flying away. Take Debris, so you don't miss shots if you dial in the wrong move, and because your offensive modifications don't rely on actions.

I think getting two regen ships into a 60 point list could be tight. Taking a Poe or Miranda or Corran plus something like Captain Rex, a Z-95 with a missile, or a cheap A-Wing could be strong, but trying to shrink a Poe low enough to fit a 2nd regen ship into 60 points seems like a trap. Rex seems particularly strong in the filler role, and would allow a well loaded regen ship as a partner (Miranda with TLT, Bomblets, Harpoons, Sabine).

Yes, if you have to take exactly 4 ships, then 3 won't work :) .

Airen Cracken with VI and Harpoons (and Guidance Chips) at 24pts is excellent value for both a high PS missile and also for giving an action in combat.

I don't think we're required to bring two ships, I just think that we have a MAX of two ships. My gf/co-pilot is pretty good with a Miranda/Poe so taking one or both of those would work. I could dig on taking a Rey / Ghost set up or even picking up that wookie ship at some point and putting something together. Its definitely a bit of a challenge to get the ships set-up the way you like. Those points run out fast!!

Those are two really fun looking squads. I'll put those together this weekend and see how we can fly them. Team play is a bit different from what I'm used to!
