Which squad would you fly in a tournament and why?

Well - the only counter is "crossfire", anyway - but with 4 ships, you have (in theory) enough wookies to thatch weave your ships and cover one anothers' behinds.

Fire Control B-wings are still good - there's a lot of firepower there (focus+target lock is much more impressive than the half-a-focus effect of wookie commandoes) - but it's the durability, not firepower, that's an issue. Not in a Wookie vs B-wing fight, but against a.n.other squad you're likely to see in an event; B-wings have 8 hits but with only 1 agility, meaning that an alpha strike list emptying 3 missiles will almost certainly take one out before it ever fires (with good rolls and flying cruise missiles could do it in only 2 shots).

Add in the (likely) tendancy towards Harpoon missiles and the splash damage being a problem for swarms generally, and there's a problem.

Your big advantages over the wookies are:

• Access to a K-turn
  • nice but not earthshaking given the latter's 180' arc
• Access to barrel roll and speed 1 turns
  • very nice in tight obstacle fields, but with the dominant enemies either being stand-off missile boats, bombers running away from you, or turrets also running away from you, how often do you find yourself in a range 1 furball?
• Tractor Beam
  • nice if you can concentrate multiple arcs on a target. I've not enough practice with tractor beams to make much of a decision, but it feels like it should be really good. One weakness of the 'not a large ship but really should be given its power cost and upgrade bar' types that tend to dominate these days (Nym, Miranda Doni, Norra Wexley, Lowhhrick and so on) is that they still get flung around by tractor tokens, and they struggle to dodge the hits.

Personally, I'd fly the B-wings. Because I like B-wings and I think the Auzituck looks cartooney and silly. But I suspect it is, probably, the better ship.

Which would everybody else fly?

Wookies are a better all around option ... better overall, I think.

You would struggle to take one out before they started popping your B-Wings.
